Sellswords - New Update

It's been a while since we made an update for Sellswords, so it's about time.

Over the past month I've spent a lot of time trying to re-work some of the core systems of the game, but after a lot of tries I felt like it was only adding more complications to the rules, rather than actually improve them for the better.

So, in the end I decided to scrap a lot of that work, and am now focusing on doing some more test missions instead. I might go back and refine some of the systems (not super happy with how weapons work), but unless I get a genius idea, I don't think that the core systems are going to be re-worked too much... hopefully.

This latest version is mechanically the same, but has a new test mission, that further refines the template that is going to be used for the missions. I've also introduced a new section with the travel events, which are small things that happen between missions, and that can have all sorts of results for the heroes.

2D Print - September Special

Back when we started releasing 2D army packs, we used to only release one pack per month, which allowed us to create models at an easy pace. Then we decided to start releasing the FTL fleets as a bonus, which brought us up to two packs per month, which was then continued with the gang packs.

We usually work on each month's 2D pack during the same month, and with the addition of the paper terrain, the workload has been getting a lot, which is leading to some burnout. In order to take a rest and re-work our production so that we are not constantly chasing the monthly release, we're going to take a short break from new 2D releases in September.

In order to compensate for this however, we are going to shower you with 2D army packs, and you can expect to get a ton of minis from our older releases. We'll be releasing both fantasy and sci-fi packs, and maybe we'll also throw some other stuff in there. :)

3D Print - New Previews, New Welcome Pack

At the top of this post you can see previews of some of the models that will be released in September, with the MU Snakemen, the RL Eternals and the DV Spingarde.

As announced a few months ago, we're going to be refreshing our welcome packs periodically to keep things interesting, featuring throwback models that were released one year ago. This is going to give more supporters the chance to get a taste for some of our older armies, as well as get some freebie models of course!

The new welcome pack is going to come out in September, and it's going to feature the Mummified Undead for fantasy and the Alien Hives for sci-fi. For each faction you're going to get one hero and one unit, as well as the simple bases and game aids as usual. :)
