Sellswords - New Update

The rules for Sellswords have been updated, brining some important changes to the game, which greatly improve the experience from our test sessions.

Enemies can now be spawned in groups and activate in groups. This makes dealing with AI much faster, and generally feels less clunky. All enemy DEF and HP values have been tweaked so that they take one additional hit to kill. This makes them impactful, as enemies now have more chances to actually use their attacks/skills before they are killed.

The spawn roll values have been raised, giving players a bit more breathing room, but also allowing enemies to pool up and spawn in groups, making them a bigger threat. Alternating activations are now on rolls of 4+, critical hits now deal 1 DMG (instead of double), and stunning is now tied to enemy HP.

Overall with these changes the core gameplay now feels a lot more solid and enjoyable, so we're going to be moving on to adding tools for mission design, as well as creating some new missions for you to try. Then once we have figured out the best ways to create missions, we're going to formalize that into a mission creation tool which allows you to make custom missions or randomly generated ones.

2D Print - Terrain Delays, Faction Voting

Unfortunately due to delays we weren't able to release the paper fantasy terrain before this update, and we're not sure that it's going to be ready before the end of the month. As such, unless stated otherwise, the fantasy terrain is delayed until June.

In the meantime, make sure to vote for the next army here. 

3D Print - Loyalty Reward Previews, Painting Video

At the top of this post you can see previews of the new loyalty rewards that will be released in June. For the Duchies of Vinci you will get the massive Walking Fortress, whilst for the Alien Hives you will get the terrifyingly huge Hive Titan.
