This past week has been super busy, and with it we've got lots of new stuff for you to check out for our games, as well as some new WIP pics of the Overseer and Saurians (above).

All of the updated rules can be found here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/43388556

Gang Wars

The Gang Wars rules have received a new update, with a section on Hazardous Terrain being added, which gives you more variety when setting up the table.

With this, we're considering the expansion done, and will keep it on Patreon for one more month, before it moves to WGV/DTRPG.

At the end of the week we're also going to be releasing a new version of our Gangs of Hive City army list, which got a substantial overhaul. We've added 20 new units, as well as a new mercenaries page that all gangs can buy units from.

Here's all the new stuff you will find:

  • The Cult: Mutant Shamblers, Bomb Rats
  • The Hidden: Spiker Telepaths
  • The Femmes: Murder Maidens, Wild Runners, Lynx Beasts, Chimeric Beasts
  • The Brutes: Combat Stimmers, Forge Natives, Berserkers, Pet Crocodiles
  • The Miners: Weapon Masters, Jetpack Wreckers, Cargo Cyborgs, Guard Mastiffs
  • The Artisans: Archeo-Techers, Neo-Techers, Arachno-Suits
  • The Bodyguards: Elite Subjugators, Subjugators, Robo-Dogs

Additionally we have re-named some of the units to fit in with the "House of ..." naming conventions, and will keep updating the army book as more are released.

Warfleets: FTL - D6

For Warfleets: FTL we have been continuing to experiment with the D6 version, and have uploaded a new version with some re-balanced weapons.

All of the standard turrets for ships and squadrons have been re-worked, as well as a handful of the core weapons, adapting them better to the D6 system.

We will continue to playtest this D6 version until we feel that it's solid, and then if we like it we'll be moving on to the factions and the full rulebook. If you want to playtest online feel free to ping me on Discord, and we can set up a match!

Jakob's Path

When we released the last update for Jakob's Path, we were not very satisfied with how mission 10 came out, so we've decided to re-work it a little.

Now instead of having a separate table to play out a tiny and boring fight, we've added a mini-game that pushes the players to mess with each other in order to get an advantage on the fight. Will Jakob and Khari survive? Best you play well...

D&G v0.8 - Preview

A long long time ago, we had started working on a very early draft of a one-page RPG called Dungeons & Glory, which aimed at streamlining RPG mechanics into a beginner-friendly format.

Over the past few weeks I've been testing out a lot of different RPG systems with a few of my friends, and decided to pick the old D&G up again, and give it another shot. This has lead to a complete re-working of the core system, as well as the addition of a useful GM guide, which introduces lots of different things to play around with.

Right now we're planning on sharing this system with the community as a one-off game, but who knows, one day it may very well lead to the creation of the infamous OPRPG...

The preview is attached to this post, let me know what you think! :)

For the new D6 warfleets rules, is it intentional that the heavy ship turret only has 1 attack, medium 2 attacks, and light 3 attacks? That feels counter intuitive, but maybe its offset by the difference in strengths?

Yes, they're supposed to be good at different things, with light being best vs other light ships and squadrons, medium being able to threaten light and medium ships, and heavy being able to reliably punch holes through any ship type.
