Good News, Bad News (Patreon)

It seems that November really hasn't been a great month for everyone, so today I bring you a little bad news, hopefully balanced out by a little good news.

The bad news is as follows:

  • Due to personal reasons the writer behind Jakob's Path has been unable to deliver the final version of Chapter 5 and the Epilogue yet, so right now the release is a little delayed. We are hoping to get it by the end of the month, but no promises.
  • Lately I've been overwhelmed with work and other responsibilities, which have slowed down my production speed, so Gang Wars is moving forward very slowly. I've uploaded the latest version to the Tier 1+2 post, but there's not much that's new.

I don't know if it's just a bad month, or if this is going to continue like this, but I'm thinking that maybe in the future I won't be able to churn out content as quickly as I used to.

For Gang Wars I'm still going to try and get it all types up within the next 4 days, although I'm not sure how realistic that is. I'm going to focus on the most critical parts first, and then add the less critical stuff later, so at least you can already start playing ASAP.

I'm really sorry for the delays that we've had this month, but hopefully we'll be able to rally and get everything done by the end of the month!

That's it for the bad news.

For the good news, the preparation for release of the 3D models is going well, so everyone will hopefully be able to get their new models on time. Additionally we also have a Black Friday deal going on MMF, where you can get a 50% discount on everything that's in the store if you use promo code OPRFRIDAY.

In other good news, with the newly released 2D Machine Cult models we've also added the corresponding GF: Arena warband assets to the game, and with this Season 2 is complete with all 3 warbands. Now that the game has 6 warbands, 2 commons, and 6 hex boards we think that everything is really coming together to create a full experience.

well... I'm not interested in your 3D miniatures as I have found them nice but useles as they arent the complete armies/options... and also I'm not interesed in your 2D models, in fact for almost the same thing... I'm back as your patreon exactly and only because of gang wars... (as long as a year ago promised infinity like game is... welll... just promised...) so this is bad news...

I'm sorry for the disappointment, but as I said, I'm going to try to get Gang Wars done by the end of the month, so don't give up hope yet. :) For the 2D and 3D models, right now we're trying to get more armies out, but we definitely have plans of further fleshing them out in the future with more options! Finally, we never promised an Infinity-like game. We have a one-off game called Double Tap available already, and whilst we would like to make a full game out of it, as long as the community is demanding other things first, then they are going to have priority. Next month we're going to do another community survey, so make sure to vote for the game and let's see if it can get to the top of the list!

Jesus, don't worry about that other guy. The worlds pretty crazy right now and we're all having a rough time. Take your time and enjoy the holidays as best as you can.

I've been blown away by your relentless productivity over the last few months, so I fully understand and empathize with you needing to dial it back. The same goes for the writer of Jakob's Path. You've got your real lives to deal with and it can't be smooth sailing all the time. Don't worry about it if things take longer than you first thought. We can wait patiently, no problem. :-)

Don't stress about it, friend. This is a busy time in a year that's been something of a dumpster fire. You've put out loads of content already, so you deserve whatever breaks you can get in.
