Game Updates and 3D Print News (Patreon)

It seems like every new update that I make I always mention that it's been a crazy week, but once again, it has been a crazy week!

Most of the week has been spent on setting up our new MMF store, as well as dealing with a lot of other things in the background, which unfortunately has left me with little time to do what I actually love the most: work on the games.

But, even amongst all the madness, I've managed to actually get something done!

This Friday we will be releasing a new version of the Prime Brothers and Robot Legions armies, including a ton of new models and upgrades across the board.

We're also updating all Detachment and Disciples books to streamline how army-wide upgrades are bought. As part of this change we're also removing the Custodian Brothers from the Detachments book, and they're going to get their very own book.

On the fantasy side of things we're going to be releasing a new Giant Tribes army book, which allows you to unleash enormous mega-giants on the battlefield!

Right now the rules are ready but we're still pending on the art to make the books complete, so if you don't see them in this week's release they'll probably be out next week.

3D Print Updates

Moving on to 3D printing, we've got a lot of new things coming, so brace yourselves!

MyMiniFactory Store

Then we've opened up a store on MyMiniFactory, and we're going to be delivering our files through MMF from now on. In order to have access to your monthly rewards you need to use the same e-mail address on Patreon and MyMiniFactory, so make sure to check that.

This change will allow you to permanently have your files in your MMF library, so no more tears over lost or accidentally deleted files. We're going to be slowly sending e-mails to redeem your models over the next few days, so please be patient.

September models 100% pre-supported

The September models are now all fully pre-supported and will be made available on MMF in the coming days, so you can look forward to those.

The October models are currently being finalized and will then need to be pre-supported, so it might still take a week or more before you get them. In any case, thanks to the new MMF delivery system there's no rush for you to download the models. :)

Lots of extra FREE models

When we decided to start delivering more models last month we didn't realize how well received they would be, and how many new patrons we would be getting. Because of that we originally planned on doing small set releases, and then maybe start ramping things up 3-6 months down the road.

Thanks to the big influx of new patrons last month however, we've decided to start beefing up our releases already, so not only will you be getting lots of extra free models from our September and October release, but the November release will be bigger than we had planned.

Here's all the extra models you can expect:

• 2 New Soul-Snatchers
• 1 New Hive Warrior
• 2 New Skeleton Warriors
• 2 New Mummies
• 1 New Skeleton Horseman

That's right, you're going to be getting 13 new models for free!

Since we're delivering everything via MMF it's going to be super easy to just update the files whenever they are ready, and we'll make sure to update you once they're available.

More Stuff Coming?

Finally, we ran a survey recently where we asked about a couple of things like special bases and terrain, and the feedback we got is pretty good.

Around 70%-80% of players like the idea of us adding those things, so you can probably expect them to be added in the future. Some players also mentioned that they would like the pieces to be fairly unique, rather than just generic terrain, so we'll try to make sure that we can capture something that we don't see offered elsewhere.

Apart from that we're also looking into generally providing more weapon options for infantry units in the future, and it would also be really cool if we re-structured our releases so that there's at least one BIG thing we deliver every month.

Then we've got a new RPG-style skirmish game coming (more on that in a future update), so we'd also like to focus on delivering a couple of models that could go with that, such as various adventurers and monsters. These models would be delivered on top of the regular army releases, so at some point you might be getting 4 releases a month!
