Lots of 3D Print News (Patreon)

This past week has been extremely busy, and I'm trying to set up a lot of new things to provide all of our patrons with more value than ever before. In order to keep things focused, this update is specifically about 3D printing news, whilst the next update will get into game news.

Above are previews of some of the October models, but there are even more coming...

3D Print Survey

First things first, whilst we have lots of cool things planned for the future, we want to get your feedback so that we can align with what makes most sense to prioritize/add/remove, so we've put together a quick survey.

Pre-Supported Minis

Starting in October we're going to be adding supports to all of our future models, making it even easier for everyone to get their printing done.

We know it sucks that we didn't have pre-supported models for September, and we're looking into ways to solve that from a logistical perspective, so that you can have both of our new armies fully pre-supported.

Right now we honestly don't have enough sales from our old Sisters and Dwarf models to justify the cost of having them pre-supported, however if we see that demand goes up to the point where it's financially viable, then we will definitely do it.

Switching to MyMiniFactory

This brings us to the next point: the store.

Now some of you already know about this, but I've generally not been super satisfied with how CGTrader works. Not only do they take a big chunk of our revenue, but the store is messy, the interface is clunky, and we don't find that enough traffic is directed to us.

So what we're going to do is switch from CGTrader to MyMiniFactory sometime next month, uploading all of our new models there, and transitioning our old models as well.

After shopping around and looking at the features MMF provides, we think this is the best fit for us, and we're looking forward to what new things we can do with the platform.

Painting Competition

Next, we're going to try our hand at running a miniatures painting competition in the coming month, giving everyone the opportunity to show off their painting skills!

The way this works will be simple:

• Print any model from the September releases
• Paint it in the most awesome way possible
• Post a picture on FB, Instagram or Discord

We're going to give participants 15 days to get this all done, at which point we'll share the pictures and make a survey to see which ones are liked the most by the community.

As a prize for winning you get 1 month for free on Patreon, which works via a refund system (details will be sorted out with the winners).

Since this is the first time we're running something like this it might get a bit weird and we might have to adjust things in the future, but overall it should be fun!

New Collaboration

Finally we're going to have a collaboration with another 3D print Patreon in the coming weeks, which means that you're going to get even more models than we expected!

Right now we're not revealing who it is with, but you can expect some truly epic models coming your way, which is always nice.

It's been a ton of work to set all of these things up, but we think it's all truly worth it, and we can't wait to be expanding on our 3D print offering in the future. :D
