FTL Update + Point Calculators (Patreon)

This past week has been very busy, but not in a way that may be immediately apparent.

We've been working hard on marketing our September releases, trying to give more people the chance to pick up all of the goodies before they are gone. As part of this marketing push we've partnered up with BoW/OTT to have some news articles written about our games, as well as set up a big banner on their website.

I've also done a video interview to give an overview of the project, so you'll be able to see my pretty face online soon enough. :D

Aside from all of the marketing stuff I've also been working on a couple of smaller game updates, and on making black border versions of all our miniatures. This has taken up a lot of my time, but they're coming out pretty well so that's good.

FTL Updates

This week we're finally going to be releasing FTL to the public, and in preparation for that we've made a couple of updates to the game, which you can check out already.

The biggest change is that we've gone ahead and added all of the legendary fleet names to the factions book, as well as a little backstory. Thanks to everyone that participated in the naming of the fleets, and congratulations to those that had their names picked!

Then there were some smaller but important changes to some of the core upgrades and titles. We've modified Avenger and Stealth Rig, the Salvage Arm upgrade was converted into the Defiant title, and we converted the Defiant rules into a new Precision Rig upgrade.

That's it with FTL for now, we're looking forward to seeing the reaction of the wider community and we'll continue to adjust and modify the game in the coming months, and at some point the Full Rulebook will be put up for sale on WGV/DTRPG.

Next month you can expect the Marauder fleet for both 2D and 3D printing, as well as a set of flat paper space terrain for 2D printing (which can also be used with the 3D models).

Point Calculators

Today we've also got a small update to the point calculators for you, which fixed the point costs of some Dwarf Guilds special rules, and added/adjusted some Orc Marauders rules.

Most importantly though, sometime later today we'll be making an update to the online point calculator, which will finally have an Age of Fantasy section added to it.
