At long last we've finally updated the Point Calculators to v1.12, which now includes everything that has been changed since the big army updates we finished a few months back, plus some extra stuff!

Here are the highlights:

  • Re-worked the layout to make it clearer to read and easier to understand
  • Re-worked the weapon creation section to clarify the base cost vs total cost
  • Added a section explaining what "Quality" means for special rules
  • Re-written some army special rules to make them clearer
  • Added a checklist in the army creation section to help balance armies
  • Re-worked the defense values section for clarity
  • Added new section on how to create your own spell lists
  • Added new section on how to convert units to firefight/skirmish

The files are already available in the Tier 2+ folder, and as always any and all feedback is appreciated on this. :)

Additionally we've also been working on an updated version of the Campaign Rules, which aims at creating a more balanced experience for everyone involved, as well as addressing some common questions people ask.

This also includes a modified version of the rules for the big games, allowing you to finally play campaigns with large armies and epic heroes. Writing these has been an absolute blast, and I can't wait to play a large Grimdark Future campaign!

Here the changelog:

  • Added rules for 4 different campaign length types
  • Added rules for parallel play and late joiners
  • Removed the campaign objectives section
  • Special objectives now always give 10pts
  • Re-worked some special objectives to make them fairer
  • If you roll a special objective that can't be completed you must re-roll
  • Winning players now get 2VP + 10pts, whilst losing players get 30pts
  • Underdog bonus allows you to modify friendly and enemy rolls now
  • Smashed leg now gives -1.5"/-3" movement
  • Agile now gives +1.5"/+3" movement
  • Re-worked the balance of some random events
  • Warband sheets were re-worked to have an xp tracker

I've attached the WIP files to this post, no ETA on when these will be released to the public yet, so enjoy your early access preview. :D

Cheers,

Gaetano
