Hi there,

I'm making this update for those of you that haven't been very active on the forums so that you know what's coming up with the release of the 3rd wave armies.

This release is going to be much bigger than expected because of some changes that are coming to the core rules and point costs, which means I will have to re-work a couple of units from every single army.

What are these changes you ask? Well...

- Units may only fight in melee once per round (may choose not to strike back)

- Pinned units can't strike back in melee (instead of getting -1 to hit)

- Blocking spells now happens on a 5+ (instead of comparing rolls)

- Fear was simplified; take a morale test and if failed get -1 to hit

- Fearless now gives the unit +1 to morale rolls

- The point costs for Quality/Defense 6+ and 2+ have been adjusted

- When creating your own units there is no required minimum of 1 melee attack anymore

Phew...

There are a lot more changes to individual armies/units/spells coming with the 3rd wave, but those will be covered later.

What's important to understand is that whilst each of these changes is small they do make a big difference in the overall game and so I will have to put more work into this release than I originally thought.

Hopefully this will not delay the release by too much, but I've been putting my all into this so that things come out ASAP. In the meantime I've already put the updated core rules and point calculation system files in the secret folder for you to enjoy.

In the coming days I'm going to be sharing with you all of the 5 upcoming 3rd wave armies for AoF, and then slowly but surely all of the armies for all games with updated point costs.

You can expect quite a lot of stuff to be added to the secret folder soon, so I hope you enjoy what you are getting. :)
