Juria was indeed talking to herself there. Once you're used to Japanese, you can tell the context but yeah just the translation could be confusing. Also, I think it was explained that they made it possible for the other teams to recruit the members that was removed from each team, but I bet neither Maju nor Simon expected Jurin's team to decide going with just 4 members... And that was why Maju ended up being removed from the remainder of the dance training--simply because no one picked her to be part of their team. Maya wasn't the youngest in team C. Yui was 10 and Maju was 12 here (Maya turned 13 as we see in this video). I think we just really feel for the kids and that's where the frustration comes from. I do think this approach is, unfortunately, normal in competitive environments like sports and this industry. Trial by fire, I guess. And I also think that is why XG's bond is just the strongest--it was forged by fire. Thanks for this. I think the first 3 or 4 episodes was the roughest for me in terms of frustrations. I admire how hard they were all training so it was a little hard to watch them get scolded. :'(

Great reaction! Context comes in the next episodes of course. Just remember what Simon said at the beginning of Korea training camp. That his goal was to introduce stress to help accelerate growth during the two weeks in Korea. Thank you both. Have a wonderful week!

One point that you are missing here is that every decision is taken by the children themselves, Simon has absolutely no role in determining who is selected or who leaves. Maju removes herself from team C in the hope that she will be selected by the team A or B, but it turns out she was wrong, she thought that her skills and status as a former team A could help but it didn't, here I can see the decision taken by team B by choosing Hikaru and team C choosing Chisa based more on instinct and chemistry , not just skill, and that is the point Simon wants to achieve. (Oot, you guys should start watching their reality shows series, they are a bunch of comedians, who can make your day at any time).

Thank you for the reaction! IMO after watching other reactors on the documentary the people that have gone through similar experiences of XG understand that this is how the industry is (Music,Kpop,Sports). And the people that didnt will say this is too much for children which is valid and true so i'm not saying yall are wrong about how you're feeling. If Esosa was able to continue into martial arts and come to this point you'd probably still empathize with the girls but you'd know first hand what it took to get there. If you ask any successful person in sports or music do you think they would say their path was easy? And if it was i dont think that individual would have the same mindset of constant growth.

feeling huge respect and proudness for chisa, maya, and juria. cause it’s crazy to me how they went from dropped out members to debuting!! i just know a lot of hard work was done. So Chisa Maya and Juria becoming XG members is an underdog story.
