MYYY JOOOYYY ♥♥♥ She really is just like a Disney princess, isn't she? Yes, it's a remake album! All songs are remakes of popular songs from the late 90s/early 2000s. She wanted to make the album something daughters could enjoy together with their mothers, a shared expierence for two or more generations. Hello and Day by Day were personally picked by her - Hello, because that song has always evoked an instant feeling of happiness paired with nostalagia in her and Day by Day is a song she loved for a very long time and has sung many times especially during her time as a trainee. The rest was picked by the company, but I love the collection of songs so much! The whole album has this nostalgia feeling with smooth vibes, which pairs perfectly with Joys clear voice that gives everything such a freshness. It's really a healing album just like that commenter said! Je T'aime was the pre-release song, yep! The pre-release phase for this album was amazing, because each song got it's own mood sampler/teaser (you saw those already!), as well as an unique poster, which were recreated by many, many different kpop fanbases! It was amazing! Can you believe that SM wanted to just drop the album without a title track and MV? Joy fought for this album soo much! She had one of the most successful OSTs the year before, which was a remake of an old song as well and it seemed a bit like SM wanted to give Joy a remake album just to have a quick money grap - but girl stood her ground! She fought for Hello to be the title track and Lee So Man approved Je T'aime as the pre-release song after hearing her recording. I'm soo so proud of her and all her accomplishments with this album! It's still the best-selling remake album to this day in Korea and got nominated as Album of the Year at the Melon Music Awards! The korean GP loved Hello, the song even ousted BTS's Butter from #1 on a few charts for a bit, which was huuge! My favorites are definitely Day by Day and If Only! And I'm so happy that you watched the live clips/performances - I already had the links ready for you, if you didn't :DD

Oh, and I love Paul Kim as well! He's an amazing artist :D Their interactions were so so cute! It's adorable how they both released remake projects around the same time. I remember my first time listening to the album and just being in complete shock when I heard ‘day by day’ and days later, that track when triple platinum in my household so I’m surprised it didn’t make that much noise in the general public. But anywho, I really resonate with Joy’s album. That’s my soul sister right there 💚

day by day is my favorite song from the album!!! it’s so good and her vocals fit the song a lot! i was obsessed with it for a while and still am to this day!
