2023-04-25 12:09:47 I'm sooooo glad you ended up at Zimzalabim mass performance! <3 SO GOOD I had also never seen the actual performance videos - although, let me say, my husband was convinced by a fanmade music video for Body Talk and I was like NOPE! But also I watched it and it was awesome. I was like - ok I will recommend it to my friends hahahaha https://youtu.be/xunmgrSoOeI I think Joy does feel comfortable wearing things like that, although like that one fancam you watched the dress was actually riding all over the place so I feel like that had to be super annoying - but like I don't think she minds having her legs out or close fitting clothing or anything like that. She's a bit of a vavavoom personality.

Lol I was going to say they only have 4 performance videos. But hey fan edits are not too bad. And this is where the ZZB cult started. The little girl is actually an SM Trainee. Her name is Na HaEun. And the guy is kind of the originator of the Korean Random Dance videos, GoToe. For the Birthday album live they performed "Time To Love" and "Celebrate". Such a lovely live.

I was like "wait a minute, there was a performance video for Peek-A-Boo??", and as soon as the video started "nope, there wasn't!" :DD SM never seemed that eager to promote Red Velvet's performance/dance ability, even tho they were having a bit more difficult choreos considering that they've more vocal heavy songs. But yeah, sadly performance videos and dance practices were rare occasion back then. That's why we cherish them so much now x) That Zimzalabim mass performance was indeed iconic! I could recognise a few of their dances behind them, so I guess the first few rows are more professional dancers and the others were fans! The little girl is Na Ha Eun, who's famous for her dance covers on youtube and she joined SM in 2022! The guy is also a youtuber, whose name I can't remember right now xD but it's hilarious how the girls reacted to his performance :DD Joy does like to dress up and feels comfortable wearing these short dresses, BUT most of the dresses the stylists pick aren't meant for dancing! Many of them ride up and she's constantly readjusting and can't dance properly because of them, which is a big no-no! You really see the difference, when she wears shorts/comforable clothing or dresses that don't ride up and it's a shame she gets a bad dance reputation for something she can't really control. Not sure, if you ever want to check out their appearances on variety shows. But they were pretty famous for their flawless 2x speed dances on Weekly Idol! They slayed Dumb Dumb, Russion Roulette, Peek-A-Boo and Power Up - maybe that's something you want to check out!

I fully agree that the RV vaults must be massive. I would shell out for a fantastic documentary on their progress.

When Irene looks stunned/confused when he touched her shoulder she seemed to be like WHAT IS HAPPENING hahahahaha when clearly they had rehearsed so idk maybe they didn't practice it that way? It's not like he suddenly appeared out of nowhere, but she is so cute, you can see her kind of laugh immediately after at her own reaction

Yeah, she probably was in her performance headspace and forgot about it :D and I'm sure he became a bit more extra as soon as the camera was rolling!!
