Finally got around to this. Definitely a fantastic album, though that was expected. I guess if you were to remove one it'd be On the Ride only because it's a different style but that's also who Red Velvet is. I completely agree with the international part and it's great to see a group like BlackPink headline Coachella and for Twice to release English only titles (they're coming for that next spot) and Red Velvet has always seemed like the lost ones in the big girl groups and while it's never their fault; there is still a chance they'll cross that invisible barrier. Okay, enough rambling, thank you and I appreciate the reaction.

Its unfortunate that sm didn't give red velvet more of a push internationally because with their skills and talent they could've for sure been big. The only time they really promoted a little in the west was during their US tour, but only on youtube channel interviews. Not much else. 💔

To be honest I hate that SM did not care to promote the girls in us they even don’t have much dance practice and content for each comeback they should promote the girls better that’s what we all saying this in past years and I’m so happy for Wendy that she comeback from the scary accident more stronger than ever and she have the brave to perform and sing again love my cake girls

2023-04-28 01:12:35 I was surprised when I saw the notifs earlier. <3 When Birthday first came out, I kept switching between Bye Bye and On a Ride as my faves, but now that I've listened to the album more... I cannot choose a fave anymore as my fave now depends on the mood that I have when I listen to the EP. xD I feel like WenJoy shined in this album, but I loved Seulgi's adlibs the most in Birthday (the song). That being said, I am also absolutely in love with how it feels like both Irene and Yeri got more singing lines in this EP. As a side note, yeah, the lyric videos are not entirely accurate (especially the Zoom one) and leaves some details out. ^^;

personally, zoom is my fave but bye bye is RIGHT THERE!! i feel the same about FLO. the moment i listened to their song i was like THIS IS GIVING EVERYTHING I’VE LOVED ABOUT RED VELVET FOR YEARS that’s why i love them too

the fact that sm didn’t push red velvet internationally is still something that makes me MAD MAD. like they have EVERYTHING to vocals, visuals, GOOD MUSIC, great personalities… they’re already big, but they could be SO MUCH MORE only if sm cared about them a little more you know? for me it’s so much easier to push a almost 9 years group that is already well known than to try and push aespa and their kwangya concept

I hear the horns you're talking about in BYE BYE - Red Velvet production are so notorious for this. I was asking everyone and their mom about if they could hear the sax in Celebrate (did you hear it??). They just put these little flavors in there where you can't really HEAR them but feel their presence. I think it may really be more of a synthbrass but I know exactly what you're talking about. And speaking of Celebrate, it's a crime it isn't longer. A crime they aren't promoted worldwide. Yep. And yeah I've been hearing FLO getting the mentions and listened a little (GORGEOUS) and I hear you 100%. Like Red Velvet has been doing this, and they could have captured the same audience if they knew them. The way ReVeluv are all in love with FLO - it's happening in the reverse??? Like Red Velvet prepared Kpop fans to like FLO? (in a way, plus of course, all of the artists and music that have come before and inspired both of these groups like those you mentioned) but I can imagine - you know - not knowing Red Velvet and finding it in FLO and not knowing you could have also been listening to Red Velvet all along basically? Yeah. I feel like a lot of the groups that have been hitting one or the other in between also haven't for me been always giving good SONGS like maybe the skills are there, but the instrumental and the general songwriting/musicality of it all - the interest level of the songs isn't innovative or interesting in the same way Red Velvet is - that aspect of bringing something different to it as well.
