I love the concept of NCT LAB, it's a great way for the boys to release their own personal music away from the neo-banner and show off sides of them they can't during group promotions. However since they're kinda one-off songs that aren't really promoted (just like SM station songs), they tend to get overlooked - which is a shame! As soon as it was announced that Jaehyun's releasing his own LAB song I just knew that we'd be getting a more classic R&B song. It's his prefered music genre and the type of music that suits his voice the best. He took part in writing the lyrics and was responsible for the concept/styling of the MV! The song is amazing and everything is just "so Jaehyun", it fits him perfectly. So proud! And now I'm even more impatient for his solo debut .___. He talked about the inspiration for the song and how everything came together during his "Music Space" episode, where he also flawlessly performed the song! Say what you want about SM, but they have the right people scouting/writing/producing music and one can hear/feel that everyone cares about they put out musically. Sometimes the song/music itself almost feels like an aftertought, but never with SM.
