YAYYY WENDYYYYYYYYY

The thing that's funny about the title track is actually - her control is insane. She makes so many incredible vocal choices in that song. It's not a ton of runs (although there are a few ad libs still that are soooo heavenly) but the way she sounds in the prechorus?? Like an actual angel? And then she's ending her phrases in the chorus with these squealy vocal fry bits that is just... WOW! She just makes it all sound so easy......... but there is CHOREO! AND she went on It's Live as wellll And the album is SO GOOD. She DID want to show a different side of herself, and Vermillion being the closing track of the album is perfection. BUT I DIDN'T WATCH ANY TEASERS AND I FORGOT TO GO BACK SO THIS IS AWESOME. I think Better Judgement may have come up and snatched my favorite song on the album spot.

I think this TT was disappointing not because of Wendy who's always excellent, but for the production that is so bland and flat it doesn't align with the attitude the lyrics and voice gives. I'm a Wendy ult, and it felt so weird. A track that doesn't show Wendy's strengths, nor a strong concept. Luckily, the album solves this in some ways spectacularly. "Wish You Hell" isn't a bad song, but the production made it innocuous when we needed it to hit in the feels.

Wish You Hell and the other songs in this album may seem to be lacking compared to LW album. BUT personally, I feel that it is actually harder to perform. The articulation, emotion and range in each song, seems so subtle but so loud(?) and controlled at the same time. Take Wish You Hell as an example, in the chorus, Wendy had to go from low note to mid-high note in seconds repeatedly in each chorus. And the whole album shows a little bit of Wendy's range in genres that she excels in. IT IS SO GOOD! Hope to see yall do more reactions to Wendy throughout her promotions! (She has a couple of guestings out in youtube)
