When trash taste talks about season 2 they are talking about the second half of season 1, Where Kirito and Suguha rescue Asuna People often give the Aincrad arc high praise because it's pretty much the arc that kickstarted all the Isekai anime. It's pretty bad nowadays but nostalia is a big thing that gives that arc high ratings. There are two movies that you can watch after episode 23. The movies are totally optional Also don't forget you can rate Part 1 of War of Underworld on MAL after episode 12, or you wait until after Episode 23 if you want to rate Parts 1 and 2 together
