-IMPORTANT- about recent patron payment declines (Patreon)

Hey everyone! I wanted to let you know about an issue regarding payment declines on third parties payment system. 

TLDR: Basically some patrons were expecting some mysterious declines in their Patreon payment, and they reached me out with a possible solution to this issue. 

On the first days of August, a lot of us creators saw a major declive of supporters. I lost more than 50 patrons in just 1 day, (and it affected me, thinking that my content wasn´t good enough to keep people to support my work) but upon reaching some more creators a lot of us were experiencing the same issue. Also I have been contacted with some of you asking for a solution, and it was yesterday that Patron reached us out and told us about the payment decline issue that has been affecting us, content creators. 

I´ll proceed to copy paste the info they told us to let everyone know

"Hi there,

An issue with a payment partner is causing a slightly higher-than-normal number of your patron payments to be declined by their banks. We've traced the increased declines back to payments system upgrades required by one of our processing partners. Patrons might see some payments declined while changes take effect.

If a patron reaches out to you about a decline, you can advise them to follow these steps:

1. Contact their card issuer to confirm the charge is valid and retry that card
2. If the retry does not work, try a different payment method. Patrons can edit their payments in their Settings, under Billing History:

We’re deeply sorry about these interruptions and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve them.
