Tyrsegald and Daven (Patreon)

Hey there, I have been working in a lot of things, and now I can show you some stuff.

First of all I have written the script for the Norse lion comic, I’ll clean it up and I’ll post it for the $5 tier after I have proofread it, and while I post the comic.

Second, thank you a lot for some good suggestions you have been giving me for the Norse lion, and I finally picked the name “Tyrsegald”. Now hear me up for some explanation of the name: well first of all the name contains Tyr for the Norse god of war. According for some google investigation, the old Norse word “segaton” means “blessed by”. So I took Tyr and added Segaton to it -Segatyr or Tyrsegaton. The first one was too similar to “Satyr” so I discarded it. Tyrsegaton was a still too green for me, so I shortened it for “tyrsega” and added the “ld” because it sounds cool.

So In my crappy Norse knowledge, Tyrsegald can be translated to “the one blessed by Tyr”.

And the comic will feature a deer dude, whose name was kinda easy for me, so I decided to name him “Davin” for old Norse means “beloved” and Daven can be traced from the Hebrew “David”.
