Fortnightly Update 63: Neva hada Better Holiday (Patreon)
Content
Hey everyone - this update is coming to you live from a Best Western hotel in Reno Nevada, the morning of my flight back to England. I'm gonna be giving a quick update on the personal project i've been working on and sharing some holiday snaps :)
Art Stuff
Firstly, the monthtly poll just went live - managed to schedule that last night from a diner - and i'm super glad to see how well it's going down already :) Please do place your votes when you can!
Secondly, you've hopefully seen the rough sketch of the giraffe hoop TF i've continued to work on - i'm super close to finishing it:
Just the colours to go on panel three, and a background and some refreshed dialogue :) Still debating making a couple alts - should have time before the monthly poll closes.
In other tentative art news, i've got plans to reopen commissions this month - when I have time i'll whip up a pricesheet and a commission form and will promote it to patrons. Stay tuned :)
Life Stuff
As stated at the beginning of this blog, i'm currently at the end of a holiday in the USA. I've been visiting my BF and, aside from us both catching a bad cold, it's been lovely! We've collaborated on art, watched a whole bunch of movies and seen some crazy sights.
I landed in Vegas and we spent a day there, the huge architecture was super cool - here's a view from the Fashion Show Mall:
Then we took the seven+ hour drive from Vegas to Reno, and it was non-stop vistas. I never want to do the drive again, but i'm glad to have experienced it:
I don't know if I expected Nevada to be so snowy, but we had multiple days of snow and it was really pretty. Here's a street corner in Reno:
We took a day trip to Lake Tahoe (technically California, neat!) and did some touristing around the ski-resort end:
And lastly I really want to emphasise just how cool I found the mountains around us in Reno to be. I'm sure they're beige and barren in summer but the snow is suuuper pretty:
Anyways, that's enough of that! It's been a lovely trip, i've enjoyed the time away from my dayjob and experiencing american culture on a day-to-day level. I am really looking forward to getting back home - I miss sandwiches and walking place - but i'm going to miss my BF terribly. Heck.
Okay, before I cry - thanks so much for your support as always, this patreon has given me the finances to take this trip; and the comments and suggestions you lot give me make my art really enjoyable. Have a lovely Easter!
