Fortnightly Update 60: Hello Computer (Poll Ideas?) (Patreon)

Hey everyone - this update brings progress on the monthly art, some pics of the PC I built last weekend and a request for Poll Ideas for March!

Art Stuff

So i've definitely gotten ambitious with the monthly art, considering it's a shorter month than usual. That said, progress is smooth! The last three panels are finished, and panel one is fully lined.

Really hoping to have this finished by the 22nd, with the alts done before the month is over. 

I also made a lame video tutorial explaining how I achieved the comic book style.

Because i'm going on holiday for two weeks in March, i'm going to be pulling the poll forward to give me a better shot. So uh, that might be going live before the alts are done this month. I have a couple of ideas/suggestions from before, and would love to have more suggestions from yourselves!

  • Remember, Always Wash Your Hands (F -> ???, subject of a health and safety video, transforming)
  • Animal Rights Activism (M -> F Pig Lady, after mocking a meat protester)
  • Skunk Seduction (skunks somehow)

Due to time constraints i'm thinking March's art will have to be a smaller affair, but i'll aim to doodle some fun patreon gifts during my holiday or something :) 

Life Stuff

As of today it's a month until I head back to the USA to see my BF, and i'm super excited. I've been counting this down for the last four months and am finally getting that travel anxiety start to hit :P He even drew me a really cute valentines gift, ugh...

If you follow me on twitter you might have seen that I built a new computer last weekend :) 

Here's a photo of it compared to my old PC (from which i've stolen the GPU and the RGB fans/light strips):

  •  i5-13600K
  • 2GB DDR5 RAM, 5600MHz
  • 1TB M2 harddrive
  • Corsair H100i watercooling
  • and my trusty ASUS RTX2080
  • inside an NZXT H7 Flow Case (which was so lovely to build in)

Lot going on in this update! Hopefully you have a safe and fun trip with it coming so soon! Not sure about ideas, maybe something with a bar/pub?

Thanks very much :) we've got a couple of updates between here and then so i'm sure i'll be getting increasingly publicly anxious ;p As for the pub idea, I dig it... "Cow Tipsy"? In which a person turns into a hefty cow while getting drunk at the bar?

So if this is for March’s art, how about as the month begins our victim turns into a lioness when they experience a rather windy March since it comes in like a lion? You could also even do an alt where they turn into a sheep woman since March ends like a lamb as they say.

I've not heard that saying before! A sheep alt for a lion TF might be a bit of a big ask (basically a full redraw) Is there more to the saying that would help establish a trigger?

So actually the sheep tf may not work like you said but it’s basically referring to March starting off cold (lion) and getting warmer (lamb) at the end. I think what could be done is our victim wishes that they didn’t have to be so cold during March so they get the lion look to sort of get a little protection from the cold.

Yeah that works. I also just realized that if you were to include another person maybe a friend to the victim they could get the sheep tf I suggested earlier.

Can’t go wrong with a 2080 and a brand new 13th gen CPU! One day I’ll water cool my CPU too instead of air blasting my i9 12900KS with the world’s fattest Noctua cooler to stop it from melting 😭 I LOVE the build as a super nerd myself! 😂

I've got nothing bad to say about the chunky cooler master heat sync I was using on my old PC - but I'm not dealing with as crazy a CPU as yourself! Would you go for a prebuilt cooler like mine, or make your own cooling loop?

I’d probably get an AIO because I’m lazy AND don’t trust myself. Plus if I was going to do a custom loop I’d probably go through the trouble of bending and fitting the hardline tubing because it’s badass. But that’s quite a ways down the road since a waterblock for a 4070ti alone is about $230 whew. But if I were to cool my CPU right now I’d probably go with something from EK for the cooling or NZXT’s water cooler just because of the cool factor 😂
