Lumetri's Voice and Expression Correlation Test (Patreon)

Picking a voice for my characters is always a really tricky process. Especially if they are going to be main characters.

Longer than a year ago I reached out to Kaheru (A Vtuber) and asked her if she wanted to voice Lumetri, and back then I was going off of this FANTASTIC demo reel Kaheru had sent me prior.

And the initial idea was for Lumetri to have a very "ara ara," onee-chan voice. Something gentle and soothing. But after repeated takes and variations, it didn't really leave an impression on me. In short, it felt generic.

But Kaheru's normal voice, I felt was very unique. It stood out to me. So I made this animation test, to see how her voice would line up with the expression plates for Lumetri, and I personally really like it.
