I am finally getting my first dose of vaccination tomorrow! Finally I will be able to walk outdoor freely after two years of shut ins and hiding. Though I've been outside a lot recently but I always felt like I was going to get infected at some point. I do know that getting vaccinated doesn't mean you won't get infected but it reduces the symptoms' effect. I am a bit scared and excited, hopefully there won't be any side effect on me. Anyhow wish me luck! :D

Just got my booster a couple days ago. Besides a sore arm and two days of lethargicness, nothing major.

That's great news! Hope it goes well!

You're Going To Feel Very Crappy After The Shot But Then You Will Get A Lot Better.

The vaccination helps you fight it. As my mum got both vaccinations but still ended getting it

Good luck Meow

Hopefully you get lucky, like myself, and have no effects at all, but really this is more about being released to live beyond your walls again, congratulations 💌

Good luck! The second dose made me get really bad side effects for two days. I’m fine now though!

Yay! :D

you have nothing to fear from the vaccine, it's those nay saying who don't want any one to get you have to fear, in my family i was proudly the first to get mine and all i feelt was a sore arm where i got the shot

coredumperror

Grats! Crossing my fingers that you have mild/no side effects.

Most I felt was feeling a little "blegh" for a few days, I think really just a day or two after the second injection. Other than that no side effects or issues.

Side Effects seem to vary from person to person. My first shot had a sore arm. My second shot hit me pretty hard, though. Though, the alternative is...less appealing.

That's great, you're doing a wonderful thing for yourself and those around you.

That's good. I had some typical side effects like some aches and feeling lethargic the following day but that was it. :)

Why is this something worth posting on the internet? It's a personal decision probably made after huge pressure from media and politics. And nothing anyone should want to know from anyone else. Keep in mind: medium age of death due to covid: 83 yrs. PCR-Tests: 80 % do not show ill people but people with figments of the virus-dna.

Yes. and that is the reason, I try to avoid it. Once everybody is used to showing his vax-passport everywhere... it will never ever go away. This is not about an virus... it's about controll. google ID2020

How about you just let people be happy they were finally able to get the shot. And if they want to post it they can. Not every country in the world has had enough vaccine for everybody that wants it.

Happy for you! You'll probably just have a sore arm and feel a bit under the weather.

meowwithme

yeah my left arm is sore like crazy DX but my drawing right hand still works so I think I'm fine. Some of my friend gotten fever though but they took a different brand of dose.

KittyB

I had the same, got Phizer and had the same just a sore arm for both times. Glad you finally get the chance to protect yourself from serious illness :)

FYI, I was the first person in my state vaccinated, we are in the vaccine trial. My spouse got the placebo and a month after my second dose got Covid-19 from a close friend. Sad story. I was already exposed, knew I had tested positive for antibodies from the vaccine, and slept next to her, cared for her, all unprotected, and never got sick or tested positive. It's a really effective protection. One of our friends has a compromised immune system. She got covid, got vaccinated, got covid again. However her last case was like a mild cold.
