After the death of his son Mischael, Tomas Ross, brother of Terrence and uncle of James, had a long period of sadness and depression.
Terrence's idea of moving to an island and starting their life again there allowed him to get back on track, but knowing that Mischael was buried there he preferred to stay for a while away from the island where his son died.
Now that he was able to overcome this ordeal, he finally decided to move and start his new life with his family.
