probably my favorite episode of this season. the two main actors have great chemistry. i also liked how they perfectly showed the alienation of non white people in europe. makes me think maybe next month i’ll request « la haine »  (1995) it’s a classic french movie which is still very relevant to what’s currently happening in france right now with the riots. if you haven’t seen it, it would be a great watch.

israel being far right isn’t that shocking when you look at the role of britain in its creation and the many massacres and expulsions of palestinians. giving a country you’ve colonized to other people you’ve hunted down as a way to absolve yourself of your sins… is insane. what’s even crazier is palestinians had to be told they did not belong in the country they’ve lived in their entire lives because other people who never lived there had connections to some religious textbook about people of their faith living there thousands of years ago. when you think about it, it’s insane. when it comes to germany idk man i think they just never learned. they’re basically just tryna rebrand by utilizing their dark past and the genocide of 6 million jews to push islamophobia as if the root of the problem was not always white supremacy. uk, france, belgium, spain & italy are just hypocrites with selective amnesia pretending to have been heroes of the « resistance » (cap) and explorers but the right term is actually colonizers and they’ve committed countless war crimes and atrocities (slavery, the massacre of senegalese soldiers hired to fight for france during WW2 and murdered afterwards for… asking to be paid, the torture rapes & murders of algerians by french authorities, leopold II of belgium ordered the genocide of 10 million congolese) this list could go on and on. anyway it’s hilarious when some inhumane racist shit happens in the US and europeans act so righteous like please look in the mirror.

No surprise on the far right in Israel. Their governments haven’t stopped expanding into Palestine, disregarding their boundaries for decades. I do love seeing the counter protests there tho, just sad they haven’t been resulting in stopping that expansion. The US govt being the backbone, the spine, giving that Israeli government the gall to continue is shameful. It’s hard to say this online tho. I’ll bet there’s folks itching to say ‘ahcktually…’
