Character Suggestions (Patreon)

The recent enthusiastic response to my Midna drawing got me thinking, perhaps I should spend a bit more time working on other popular characters in my illustrations?

I presume the typical suite of characters I cycle through are at least somewhat appealing to you folk as well as my broader audiences, but I can imagine that it may be favourable to go back to things like, say, Renamon or Tristana more often than I currently do.

To this end, I was considering putting it to a vote at least once a month here on Patreon, and in turn I can work on whichever character is the winner.

I'd be open to suggestions for characters to add to the list, and in the interest of fairness, cycling out the most popular characters periodically would give other things a chance to win from time to time. My current plan is to add another Patreon Tier just above the single tier I currently have and open suggestions there going forward, after which the vote would be open to all of my Patreon Tiers.

For this month though, I'm open to suggestions in the comments below on which characters people may like to see from me!

The popular shortstacks are always good, all of which you've hit before. Tristana, Poppy, Midna, goblin girls. It's always nice to see your kobold too, and there are popular kobold characters out there.

It's convenient that you brought up Kobolds, my upcoming Saturday drawing is going to be of my Kobold! I do enjoy drawing her, as the reptilian biology is pretty unique compared to my normal fare. I am curious about other Kobolds, and indeed other Reptilian characters, that I could draw. I've been enjoying following along with things like Srriz Adventure, on that note.

You have no idea how glad I am that you brought up Hornet. I've only just started playing Hollow Knight very recently, and I'm yet to finish, but Hornet certainly left a good impression on me. Very cute laugh during her fight. She's going straight on the list.

The cycling idea works, but depending on how many people participate and how many options there are I do like the kind of voting system where the majority doesn't win by default, preventing landsliding a vote and making all other options non-options. It turns more into a vote-raffle, you let everyone vote and then essentially draw one of the votes at random and do that, meaning that the majority has a high probability of being drawn in the vote, but not making it impossible for the fewest votes to also have a chance! It works very well in certain circumstances such as choosing from a character roster, and keeps the vote exciting. That said, I like the above options and will add either more Midna, or Poppy from league of legends but with the Noxus skin.

That's certainly a valid way of doing the vote too! I appreciate the suggestion. I am considering ways to alleviate issues with characters losing by a slim margin, though having the winner cycled out of contention after a win seems like a way of balancing things. I'll almost definitely end up thinking about this way too hard. Noxus Poppy is a good suggestion, and one that I'm surprised I've never done prior.

A huge NO to midna, don't like her. There's enough renamon, dont like green characters (goblin, orc whatever). Asura (and yordle) thats why I am here. The 3 asura on top of the page + Zrii are amazing. And tiskka...

I don't believe you have much to worry about, apparently over half my illustrations are still Asura, and I don't plan to decrease that ratio. I love 'em dearly. Yordles are something I would like to do more often, however.
