First idea: On his way home after negotiations with another kingdom, a royal king is captured by a bandit leader. Instead of killing or selling the king for ransom, the bandit leader decides to make the king part of his gang. The king tries to resist, but over time the king begins to become addicted and love the freedom of the life of a bandit and eventually becomes the bandit leader's right-hand man and husband. You can also make this a pirate themed comic instead of a bandit themed one.
