Dream Sketch: Meet Poyo (Patreon)

Last night I dreamed that there was some kind of construction project going on right outside my house, something that involved digging up the entire street. As I stood outside watching, I found this strange slug-like creature sitting atop a heap of dirt by my front door. It had a flat, gray, misshapen body that looked sort of like a kneaded eraser, but soft and wet like a slug. It had a pair of round, beady yellow eyes that sort of looked like frog eggs. I decided to keep it safe from the diggers, bringing it inside to keep in a jar with some leaves. I named it "Poyo" (I was originally going to call it "Ponyo" like the Ghibli film, but I fumbled my words and the name stuck) and showed it to my sister. As we watched it sit there in its jar slowly sliding around, it's surface would occasionally start "bubbling" and dozens of eyes would appear, rapidly blinking with wet "plip plip" noises, all while its two original eyes would reach out on inch-long eyestalks and wriggle around in the air.I was worried that Poyo was sick or something, but my sister assured me "Yeah, don't worry, he just... does that".
