Decided to do a bit of practice with shading by drawing the various freaky faces of the Alternates featured in the excellent analog horror series, The Mandela Catalogue. Although I took some creative liberties with drawing Alternate Gabriel there- I never cared for his bug-eyed grinning face, and I didn't want to just copy his greeting card-looking form, so I made a half-and-half mix between the two that I think looks pretty good.

If you haven't watched The Mandela Catalogue, I highly recommend it if you like horror, especially analog horror. It's one of the few newer horror series that's genuinely disturbed me- for several days after watching the first volume, every time I turned the lights on in a dark room I expected to see a shadowy goon leering at me from the corner. Fair warning though: it does feature themes of suicide and self-harm, so watch with discretion.

I came across a Japanese Horror movie that was praised by Trevor Henderson awhile back as the ghosts have serious Mandela Catalogue energy to them. Check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jq6k0YcMkpI
