For over the last twelve years, I've done all my digital art exclusively in Photoshop using a stylus and pen tablet. This has served me well ever since I got started, but unfortunately, my current tablet (a Wacom Intuos Pro) has become too much of a hassle to work with. The plug that connects the tablet to my computer became loose about a year ago and would disconnect if I so much as nudged it. I sort of remedied this problem by wrapping some masking tape around the grip to fit it more snugly into the connection port. However, I'd still end up getting connection issues because the driver has developed an infuriating habit of randomly conking out, requiring me to go into Services and reset the driver sometimes two or three times every drawing session, which also requires me to close and open Photoshop because the pressure sensitivity deactivates as well.

Needless to say, these constant interruptions in my drawing sessions put a damper on my drawing prowess, all but killing my drive and making drawing a total chore, which in turn has seriously slowed my input recently. So, after doing a bunch of research and comparison over the last few months, I finally found a decent replacement for my tablet: I saved up some money and got myself a new iPad, an Apple Pencil, and Clip Studio Paint. I haven't bought Apple products in years, but this setup has proven to be more than a worthy successor to Photoshop. Being able to draw directly on a screen has been something I've wanted to do for a long time, and its well worth the money. I'm already getting ideas on how to use this setup to its full potential.

The transition will take a while, sure, but I've only been drawing with it for a couple days and I'm getting used to it fast. So it looks like my art's gonna be done in Clip Studio from this point on! Wish me luck folks.

Sounds like your old program was a real pain, hope this becomes a great motivator throughout 2022!

Well Photoshop wasn't the issue really; my tablet was. Right now I'm just trying to get the UI set up in a way that's most efficient for me.
