Commission for WC Purdy, featuring Cora, familiar of the goblin sorceress Ikki, along her little bottled ghost friend Tim as well as Cora's alternate bird form.

Cora is an ancient "Familiar Spirit" who has partnered with many of the most notorious and powerful sorcerers over the ages. When Ikki performed a familiar-binding ritual, she summoned Cora, who was attracted to her vast magical potential. Cora immediately regretted binding herself to Ikki when she found out just how dumb and clumsy Ikki was.

Originally,  Cora was a mysterious and regal raven, whose human form was a tall, pale, gothic beauty. However, after an experimental spell gone wrong (something that happens a lot around Ikki), Cora found herself transformed in bird form into a cute, tiny little songbird, while her human form suddenly resembles a cutesy, childlike princess. This kind of  transformation is supposed to be impossible on a familiar spirit, and Cora is quite perturbed with her new state of being.

To expand a little on the lore, the forms that a familiar takes are supposed to be a sort of conceptual reflection of the personality of both the familiar and the wizard they're bound to. This is why they SHOULD resist transformation spells - because it's pretty much unthinkable that both the wizard and the familiar could simultaneously experience some kind of radical change in personality that would warrant a change of the familiar's appearance. The fact that Ikki pulled such a thing off is both baffling and concerning - both on an existential level, and on the level that it suggests that she's way more powerful than any modern wizard has any right to be. Also, Tim is just a ghost who lives in a bottle. There is nothing exceptional about him whatsoever. Nope. Nothing exceptional here. Move along. ANYWAY, thanks so much again! I'm super impressed with how frilly you made her! She looks amazing!
