Midweek Moleskine: Scrapped Undertale Comic (Patreon)
Content
This was an Undertale comic I had drawn months ago, but abandoned shortly afterwards when I realized that the joke wasn't as funny as it was in my head. But it does give me an opportunity to show my viewers a little behind-the-scenes look at how I draw comics!
For short, humorous comics like this where panel size and layout don't need to be anything fancy beyond a simple grid or column of panels, I will simply draw each panel by itself without laying down the grid and making the appropriate resizes in Photoshop later. You may also notice that half the panels consist of floating heads- this is because when I have a comic involving a character only moving part of their body between panels, I'll only draw the parts that move (in this case, Undyne's face and hands) and then copy-paste the previous unmmoving parts in Photoshop to speed up time.
