FNaF: Freakafied Foxy (Patreon)

One thing I always found strange about Five Nights At Freddy's was how "robotic" the animatronic characters look. While real-life animatronics such as Chuck E. Cheese are just as creepy as Freddy and his gang, they at least hide their inner mechanisms with fake fur and tacky clothes, rather than having a carapace-like body with exposed metal joints and glassy eyes set in mask-like sockets. Which is why I came up with a little fan theory of my own: What if the FNaF characters only look that way to adults?

To a child, they probably look like how they do on the left here; a real-life cartoon character with a friendly smile and soft, huggable fur. To a jaded adult, they'd look as they do in the game: a stiff, clanking automaton with cold, lifeless metal beneath a crude facsimile of childish cheer. And of course, under certain... circumstances, they might look like the character on the right. What those circumstances are, I do not know.
