A species of my own design which I haven't drawn in a while.

"Snerrets", so-called because of their snake and ferret-like traits (though they are their own species, not a hybrid), are a wildly dimorphous species, with males walking on two legs and the larger females slithering on large serpentine tails. Their fur and manes come in bright, often complementary colors, though their belly-scales are typically duller pastels or shades of gray. The ends of their tails are sometimes tipped with a rattle (seen more common in males) or a long tuft of silky fur (more common in females). Rattles are often used defensively both as a auditory warning and as an improvised clubbing weapon, while tufts release powerful, numbing pheromones which can subdue attackers as well as prey.

Speaking of prey, snerrets are omnivorous, able to eat both plants and animals alike. Their snakelike jaws and powerful inner muscles allow them to swallow and digest enormous meals, with their favorite food being watermelons (cut in half of course, otherwise they couldn't taste it). Although because swallowing such large things can strain their jaws, snerrets typically settle for smaller fare like fish and fruits.
