I’ve been reading the D&D monster manual for a while now and while it has a wealth of inspiration, I was a little underwhelmed by how little variety there was regarding oozes and slimes. I like slime monsters, so I decided to create a few of my own.

For those who can’t read my terrible handwriting, here’s a transcript:

Ocular Ooze (AKA Peeper Slime; Eye Sludge)
Thin, runny, blueish slime that forms many jelly-like spheres that resemble, but do not function as, eyeballs. Carrion eaters are especially attracted to these, but are quickly subdued as injestion causes sudden, temporary blindness as the ooze smothers its confused prey.

Gravel Ooze (AKA Rock Gunk; Man-Eating Landslide)
This ooze hardens large chunks of its slime matrix into hard, dense nodules that look like a heap of rocks to the untrained eye, held together by thick, lumpy webs of slime. It feeds via lying in wait and ambushing prey, bludgeoning animals into a thin, easily-digested paste.

Dazzle Ooze (AKA Mind-Melter; Prism Puddle)
One of the few oozes to seek out light, the surface of this ooze rapidly ripples and jiggles, mesmarizing weak-minded prey with its iridescent rainbow of colors.
