Hello all my wonderful Patrons!

First of all, I just want to open up with saying thank you once more for supporting my art here on Patreon, and for sticking with me so far and being so helpful and supportive with your comments and conversations we've had. Right now I need your help with improving my Patreon page, and what I have to offer to you and future patrons.

Lately I've been thinking about how I run my Patreon, specifically regarding commissions. When I first started here, my plan was to have commission slots exclusive to Patreon, to help keep better track of them and to help raise money. While that's worked out pretty well thus far, I'm starting to wonder if it's the right direction I should be taking. In retrospect, it doesn't seem fair for my viewers to pay money in order to... well, pay money again for art. At the very least, it doesn't seem like much of an incentive.

So I've thought of a few things I could do- I could offer a few commissions on each of my various sites- DeviantART, Tumblr, FurAffinity- as well as Patreon, but perhaps offer more exclusive types of commissions: on every other site you could get sketches or inks, but on Patreon you can get full-color commissions, that sort of thing. Or maybe just offer more commission slots on Patreon than any other site.

Another idea I had was exclusive types of commissions. I've seen more than a few artists offer special types of commissions- mugshots, Your-Character-Heres, themed pictures featuring people's OCs in a predetermined setting or costumes... things like that. They look like fun, and I've wanted to try my hand at them for quite some time.

I've also thought about doing a Livestream where you can watch me draw, but I'm hesitant to do that- I've never really sat through another artist's Livestream, let alone done one myself. I'll have to look into it.

Finally, I've thought about making designs to sell on merchandise for RedBubble. I have a few ideas in mind that I think would look great on a t-shirt, though like Livestreaming, I've never done anything like this before, so I'll have to look into it before I can get anything made.

With all that said, please leave any comments, feedback and suggestions in the comments below! I would really appreciate it. I want this Patreon page to reach its full potential.

Restricting full color to Patreon is the best of those, but I personally would hate to see you lose the ability to make money outside of your Patrons. I've been a fan for a long time and will continue to support you regardless!

I think YCH's are really great! Maybe try that out some time!

I think limiting yourself exclusively to Patreon is a net negative. Something you are doing to lessen the rough spot for someone that's here as a pure commissioner is that you seem to use the patronage payments as 'credits' to apply towards commissions. That part's nice and lets folks 'bank up' for something nice in the future. That being said, why not open commission on other platforms so long as there's a central location to determine when slots are and are not open? Some level of exclusivity for particular levels is nice depending on who someone is, plus there's the occasional customer that can't or won't want to use PayPal or direct card payment (how they would actually pay for something is to be determined)

YCHes could be awesome, but with the variability in what you can do you might...dilute what types of people you attract and watch for auctions? I dunno about how that could go but it's nice to see what you want to draw before it's tidied up c:

Personally, I contribute to see more of your own work, not to get any kind of edge in getting you to draw anything from me. So if it were up to me I'd just do your commission list publicly, and maybe offer priority or upgrades for Patreon contributors. I don't really understand the point of YCH offers from someone who takes ordinary commissions; it just limits both the buyers and the results.

Well, I suppose what I could do is have regular "whatever you want" commission available only on Patreon, and have YCHs and other such commissions available on my other sites.

I guess I'm just really looking for good incentives for patronage without having to put everything behind a paywall.
