Soooo, this one requires a bit of explaining...

Like most people, I've had plenty of those annoying dreams where you're back at school or at your job stressing over something like a late assignment or a staying late to finish a big task. While I do like drawing stuff I see in my dreams I rarely ever do that for these sort of "back to school" dreams, because they're pretty much all boring, annoying, and just stress me the hell out, and I rarely ever remember anything especially noteworthy from them anyway.

Last night, however, was a first for one of these sort of dreams: instead of being back at school running around the halls looking for a classroom I haven't attended for months, or being back at my old deli job washing heaps of dishes, I dreamed about my current position as a commission artist!

In my dream I was frantically scrolling through my various messages on Discord and email trying to find a client whose commission I had forgotten to draw for several months, before sitting down and quickly scrawling up the picture they wanted, which was this picture here: a Sir Slush enemy from Banjo-Kazooie with big Don Bluth Villain lips, smoking a fat blunt and looking really pissed off and tired. Not sure where that came from, but it felt real enough that even after waking up, I seriously pondered if I actually had to draw this for a minute. Regardless, it was weird enough I decided to draw it anyway.

The Patient One

UGH. I didn't even play Banjo-Kazooie until relatively recently, after he was announced for Smash Ultimate. But those things and their fricking homing snowballs were still the worst part of Freezeezy Peak, and I wasn't fond of them in Click Clock Wood either. ...a most bizarre dream may have led to this, but that really does seem in character for that guy. Well done as always.
