There is something pretty badass about the idea of Gothic having such a deadly combatant as one of his ship's onboard marines/security. I'm not a complete fan of the art used to depict them or their armor, as I'd go in a different direction and certainly not leave the head exposed, but the images in the early video here work better than that seen in the game play.
