The computer had performed several deep sensor scans on the prisoners prior to the sweep and cataloged most of them, even catching a poison filled tooth in each of their mouths, but their carefully hidden subdermal emergency locator beacons hadn’t been detected or touched by the beam or the sensor sweeps. The cube was essentially a modern-day faraday cage, so no signal was getting in or out. When they’d realized they’d been taken, they immediately activated their beacons, presumably so that their ship could beam them away. Unluckily for them, the signal had been blocked by the cube, detected by my computers, and their beacons had been beamed out of their bodies.

Faraday Cages Explained [IN UNDER 3 MINUTES]

I decided that I couldn't talk about Michael Faraday without giving a brief explanation of the Faraday Cage as well. The Faraday Cage stops electricity and electromagnetic frequencies from entering the cage, affectivly insulating any object inside from electricity. Applications range from Airplanes, to science laboratories, to microwaves. Faraday Cages are everywhere! Like, Share, Subscribe!
