Just read the last two chapters. I know this is adopted from gothicjedi but i thought you where going to do stuff differently. It seems really similar to my memory. Might be different. Just seems similar and I’ve not read to many Star Trek story’s. although it has been some time so probably way different. Curious on how much more there is to catch up till we get to original stuff?

Joe Lawyer has been beta-ing and co-writing the original work since the very beginning, so it is not really adopting as much as taking over the entire work and expanding on the original. You should really read the original all the way through and then read this new one. From what Joe Lawyer has put out so far, I am guessing that he will catch up to the original work at around chapter 55-60.

This fic is mix of rewrite and original. I was co-author on the first fic and wrote more than half of it, I didn't just adopt it from a stranger. AAG has reworked many aspects of the original story and I have expanded on it in many places. Just compare the word count between the two stories at the same chapter; that difference is pretty obvious. But the old story is my starting blueprint. In some chapters deviations will be more obvious than others, new characters introduced, new events, new motivations, new explanations, far better writing in general, etc. Hope this answers your question.
