Good day, everyone. Yep, you read that right, update 0.29 is slightly delayed —  but it’s a  necessary measure. Let us explain what exactly is going on, since we think it really is important.

While finishing up the script for one of the scenes in the upcoming update, we realized it’s missing something, well not exactly missing, it’s quite good as it is, but if we only added an itty-bitty little detail, the scene would get exponentially better! And yes, we are talking about that "splish-splash" scene, have you seen its teaser?

If not, here’s the link, be sure to check it out!

So, what did we realize. What if we show the player Sarah inside the liquid? Damn, we can’t not have that! Previously, we only planned to describe it via words, but why not show it? So we decided that we will!

Right away, we discussed this revision with the artist, and he was just as enthusiastic about the idea, cause it’s obvious! So we sent that scene back to the production floor for improvements, despite knowing it would mean releasing the update a bit later than planned — but, as we already said, the improvement in quality will be very noticable! We won’t deceive you and say that’s the only reason for the delay, some other aspects of the update also need a bit of work, so the delay isn’t just because of that scene, but we’re glad we decided to refine it!

That’s all the important new as of right now. And that’s also all we have to say for now, but we’ll keep in touch. However, it’s almost certain — the road to release is straight and clear! Thanks for taking your time to read this, see you soon!

Productively,
Shadow Portal Team

P.S. And here’s a little 'sketch' from Arthur of him explaining this improvement idea to the artist.

So often a game developer will make the mistake of releasing an update that is not of the best quality just to meet a deadline. I'm glade you are taking the time to make sure this project is is of good quality with out going Star Citizen on us.

I don't think SlutCraft will ever become like Star Citizen. In a good way, ahahaha.
