What does it take to enter altcoin season? you first need to quit your daily job...sorry, I mean... you only need to outperform BTC for over 90 days.

If 75% of the Top 50 coins performed better than Bitcoin over the last season (90 days) it is Altcoin Season.
https://www.blockchaincenter.net/altcoin-season-index/

Last weeks we've been around the 60s, and yesterday we were at 73%. Today we broke the 75 and got to 78%!!! this means that 78% of the tokens performed better than BTC in the past 90 days.

Altcoin season is the time when alt coins are expected to go nuts. Pumps, dumps, huge volatility. Smart money is already invested. Dumb money buying the hype too late, the whole market rallies up for a period until the smart money decides its time to cash in the profit which usually causes a snow ball effect of stop losses and panic selling which will mark once more the end of altcoin season.

This time there's huge volume and you can see that many of the top contenders are also NFTs.

I'm working on a setup to take advantage of altcoin season that accumulates BTC.

I'm going to be using our best friend for altcoin season: QFL.

This setup uses 4 bots to help spreading the risk.

  • 29% for buying the dip
  • 71% for bot usage
  • 1 BTC aggressive: 4 max active deals
  • 1 BTC Moderate: 3 max active deals
  • 1 BTC Defensive: 2 max active deals
  • 1 BTC Conservative: 1 max active deals

Risk notice

Running bots during altcoin season is a great opportunity to catch huge returns but things can go wrong so it's important to highlight that following this strategy is VERY high risk

Last year with 14K I run a similar (but not as good setup) and made 8K in a few weeks, then when altcoin season finished there was a HUGE dump that caused 4K losses. Then it kind of recovered the week after and ended making still around 6K.

This season I'm going to invest 0.3 BTC which I will consider VERY HIGH risk but I'm all in for this. Do not use all your funds, there's a big opportunity but the risk is high and we can loose big part of the investment depending on how this market behaves this time.

Who should not invest in this strategy

- do you check your deals constantly during the day? are you a bot micro manager

- do you add funds at a random time just because your deal is displayed in red?

- you don't know what an EMA is or how to use it to exit a red deal?

- do you expect deals to close quick and would get anxious if a deal was there for more than a day or a couple of weeks?

- are you planning to go all in with this strategy?

If you answer YES to any of this you SHOULD NOT invest in the Bakker setup.

Reward

There's NO way I can guarantee for how long or when the altcoin season will end. It might last a few days (hopefully not!) or a few months. The season tends to run for a while overextended and then with no  anticipation it suddenly closes. So if it goes as it normally does it should allow us to catch good profit and then when it's finished it will take back some of it due to the harsh drop in prices that normally happens at the end of the season.

The highest scenario for reward is to have 1 to 2 months of rally. Last season lasted from 9 of August to mid September 2020. Actually the painful period was when the index when from 80 to 50 around the first 2 weeks of October. Have a look at the charts at the bottom of the article.

How to copy the Bakker setup

Why is it call "Bakker" setup?

One of the first patreons that join the channel in 2020 was Bakker. We've done a few successful collaborations. He's been running the bakker setup for 2 months out of altcoin season. He started with 0.2 BTC and now getting to 0.8 BTC. He had to add funds a few times a week using the EMA 50-100 daily or hourly chart to identify the bottom just with the intention to exit earlier deals and maximise the use of the funds.

This setup is Bakker's creation. It looks like a much more balanced version of running Johanno and Aleksandro while actually taking profit on BTC.

I'm not planning to stop Johanno and Aleksandro.

Past month performance

Have a look at the performance during last month. Keep in mind last month was not altcoin season yet.

Thank you TTP, is there an article or a video explaining when we need to add funds (buy the dip) ?

Hi, the google spreadsheet link is broken. Do you have a new link?

can this be used for USDT instead of BTC aswell?

Thanks! It would be great to have some examples of "...EMA 50-100 daily or hourly chart to identify the bottom".

Hi, In the same page of your question (https://www.patreon.com/posts/hello-altcoin-49099184) in the section "How to copy the Bakker setup" in the third bullet "Make a copy of each of the 4 bots from the Bakker setup. Aggressive, Moderate, Defensive and Conservative" all the underline text are links that can take you to 3commas information/copy bot page. Cheers.

Hi thanks for this Parrot, I copied the baker setup and defined the BTC and copied from the link adjusting the BO1 and S01 for each 4 bots however when I start the bots their are no deals showing. Any ideas where I could have gone wrong? I have checked and have enough BTC?

For me, in a frame time of 16 h the aggressive bot have completed 12 deals, the moderate have just completed 1 (one) and have 1 (one) active, the other two the defensive and conservative are active with no errors showed but ZERO completed or active deals. I want to believe it is because of the risk configuration, there are fewer safer deals than risky. But if someone think that maybe is a configuration issue please let us know.

Thankyou & Much Appreciated for your prompt response Isaac, I have checked and the results since my post are similar to yours. Deals have been closed only by Aggressive and Moderate.
