So Clarisse loves a more dominant male than the docile ones they bred for ages. So Lug is not only her pet project to bed at last, but more her dream man as he has a untamed savage side. I do question what her dear mother would say to that on top of the whole making her nephews sexual deviants through Carlo. In a way her view (and possibly Lenora's as well how she interacted with one of her husbands, Thomas) is to more emancipate the males of the society. Possibly still lower, but less groomed for perfect docile males.
