A while ago I asked my patrons in a poll if they were OK with a side-story and with a very slim majority, said side-story was accepted. However, due to the margin being so slim, I'll definately postpone it until the next episode is finished... eventually.

However, I think I will do little one-pagers here and there, just to get a feeling for the setting and the characters. It'll help me get back into the swing, because - and I can't stress this enough - it's so fucking refreshing to make size-comics within a "normal" setting, without having to worry about endless sprawling cities and vast landscapes that still look good despite repeating textures, clouds & atmospherics and characters that are so gigantic, interaction is barely possible and if you zoom in on the little ones, all you see is a monochromatic, skin-toned background and a little dot.

That being said, I still want to go back to all the other stories I've started and never finished and I got some nice drenic renders in store too, as well as Adelina-renders and of course News from the Emmas. So I hope I can go back to a more regular release shedule again.

But back to the Side-Story that is the topic of the render today: The working title is: "The Roach", but I might change that further down the road. It's about a young, popular graduate falling in love with a short and shy classmate only to find him shrunk to 1/100th of his former size one night. And while this concept has been done over and over again in the size genre, there's a very important difference in this one: she will not instantly turn into a sociopathic monster torturing him to death while laughing maniacally., nor will she enslave him and lord over him in a mad power-fantasy.

Instead she will take care of him and the both of them will try to make the best of their new situation, while they explore all the possibilities of their new found size-difference.

Oh, and I also should mention, that the one-pagers are of course freebies.
