I'm glad you loved the movie, Shanelle. When I saw it the first time, I was astonished at how good it was! I think it really holds up, too.

Given how much you liked the movie, Scorsese' Wolf of Wall Street (which you mentioned) and Gangs of New York have a very similar feel. Wolf, my opionion, is the stronger of the two... or maybe it's just the reveling in debauchery that is so crazy and fun... but both are well worth your time. Thanks for your reaction!

Gangs of New York is amazing

This is one of those movies where I thought it was going to end, but it went a little further. Then it went a little further after that. Django Unchained had this same feeling for me. Since I started watching your channel, I have found myself noticing more film-makery things and also the choices that are made. When I watched this, I noticed the insert of the mug as well and was wondering what the purpose of it was. I still find it weird when I notice something then you mention it as well. What about Greta Gerwig for your female director?

LOVEE Greta, I exclded her because she doesn't really make movies like this, but that's unfair, I like her smaller feeling movies so much!

i will have you know that, as an older millennial, i could totally write and send a text without looking at my flip phone. these new fangled smart phones make it impossible to text and drive these days!!! i have this film mixed up with another...i think it might have been The Irishman because i remembered Al Puccino being in this movie for some reason. i dont remember how or when i saw this movie. it must have been on dvd rental or something because i was in Iraq for most of '06...it was a weird time in my life but a masterpiece none the less!!! Can we watch The Irishman sometime??? Cant wait for the next watch along!!!
