Thank you for honoring this 30th anniversary. I was 9 in 1992, and have never missed a season seeing it since. I thought you might jump on this one, if there was a possibility of it being a musical. On Frank Oz, in addition to Miss Piggy, Animal, Fozzie, Sam and Yoda, he was also Bert, Grover, and Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. On "how it's done"...the muppeteers are on screen the whole time in the wide shots. They are removed through green screen. If you'd like to continue with the Muppets on the channel, I would only confidently suggest the original The Muppet Movie (1979). It is absolutely of its time and is a highlight of the classic era of comedy, featuring Steve Martin, Milton Berle, Edgar Bergen, Dom Deluise, Mel Brooks, Bob Hope, Elliot Gould, Carol Kane...the list goes forever (and it has Rainbow Connection). LOVED seeing you smile through this entire runtime. I wasn't kidding in the live stream when I said it was the best adaptation. People cock an eyebrow at that statement, until they actually see it. Happy Holidays!

Unfortunately for The Muppet Movie (1979), as time goes by, people aren't going to know most of the stars it features unless they know TV and movie history. But it still a great movie.

I'd say watch the original Muppet Movie before The Muppets. It's sort of like what The Force Awakens is to A New Hope.
