Loved watching this one through with you. I was able to catch it in Cinemark XD Imax when it came out opening weekend. It was packed in that theatre, which provided one of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had going in-person. Our seats were literally shaking as the planes took off in the intro. I did first see Miles Teller in Whiplash, also in the theatre, and agree with you. That one was a well-deserved Oscar for J.K. Simmons. One of my favorites. If you enjoyed seeing Miles Teller perform Great Balls of Fire, there is a music video in which we get to hear the group perform the entire song from inside the bar, instead of cutting back-and-forth to Tom on the outside. It's so much fun! I'm surprised you didn't pick up on the line "Do some of that pilot shit!," because I was sure I saw a light bulb go off when I heard you repeat it back. I knew going in that Val Kilmer was no longer speaking, but had a cameo, but I had no idea they had found a way to give us his voice again. I completely lost it on that when the first time through. Anyway, great choice. Can't wait for the next one.
