This, along with Star Wars IX, was one of the first movies I watched during quarantine. I did also know about the one take aspect of this movie and it was the main reason I wanted to watch this. It's the reason I watched Birdman this year. I tried to look where cuts might be and follow the story but I failed. I only noticed where one might be besides the obvious one in the middle of the movie. It was a tree that passed in the foreground acting like a wipe. So for this watch along , I tried to see if I could notice where cuts/blending of shots could be. I agree with you where anytime we see something in front of our characters is where it would happen. One thing that I wasn't expecting in this movie was when that one character died.

I saw this in the movie theater and was blown away by all the things you mentioned, Shanelle. It must have been absolutely grueling to film. Even the extras playing dead bodies must have been miserable during filming! Also, one of my grandfather's was born in 1916, too! And my father-in-law (bless his soul) was born in 1919. Yes, my husband's parents were about the same age as my grandparents. My FIL was also a POW in WWII in Germany. Bad times.
