Hi all -- I'm desperately trying to make this Patreon thing work for me--I find it super hard to do this for a living + balance my "normal" life.

For the month of July I'm going to be removing the polling tier to see if the freedom to just watch whatever helps me feel a little more creative and connected to the channel. I also realize that you guys who pay for the $10 tier might want some notice about what I plan to get to.

SO:

In July I will be roughly screening: Dead Poets Society, Philadelphia, and Star Wars 7-8. Then anything else will be a fun surprise and a way to allow me hopefully the freedom to just turn something off if it isn't my speed!

If you're on the $10 tier and you want to cancel now you've got some idea of where we're going.

Anyone on the $6 polling tier who wants to support me still can move to a donations tier if you so choose! This is an experiment for July so we'll regroup in August 😄👍🏻😅

In the future, I'm working on a way to "rent" one-off videos. That way if you hate the whole month but want to unlock a certain video you can do so at a lesser fee!

And I'm still trying to make the new editors work for the channel.  Sorry for the long-ish post! Hopefully, this isn't too much of a bummer and know that I appreciate all of you so much!!

I understand What you mean. The fact is, you're in the business of selling yourself. The only way to do that is just to be yourself, and to believe in the value that you are providing. If you undervalue your product, that's not good for your customers or for your product or for you. Maybe we're biased because we're willing to pay for you and your reactions and comments every month because to us, you're worth it, but I don't see that giving people a shortcut to you is doing anything but lowering your value.

Shanelle - You can do audiobook narrations and voice overs. With your training, your talent, and your infectious state of bemusement you deserve to succeed. I did a quick search for "audiobook narrator and there must be a need for individuals such as yourself. There are hundreds of listings. The renumeration I gather, is $100+ per hour of usable narration.
