Great reaction! when do you think you will upload season 3 :) ?

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

The Good, the Bad, and the Crispy- I absolutely love this episode and for me... I feel that this finale and season one's finale... Take Me Back to Hell, are equally tied as far as which of them I might love more. I love both finales so far equally, because they both bring different aspects and emotions for me that I connect with and love deeply. Yet for season two overall... this episode is definitely another one of my favorites, and season two as a whole is my favorite season. First... this episode begins with Charlotte having to deal with the fallout from her having killed the kid who tried to kill her first. And unfortunately, because she is now at an even greater risk of imploding and destroying everyone and everything all around her, the Goddess becomes desperate, and a very real threat to everyone Lucifer cares about because she is now willing to do whatever she has to do to survive, even if that means hurting Linda, Chloe, Dan, and Ella to do so. And unfortunately... Linda is the first person that Charlotte chooses to target in order to get the information she needs about Lucifer's real intentions. But to back up a little... We learn that Charlotte has called in a clean up team to clear the body from her office. Which leads Chloe, Lucifer, Dan, and Ella to their latest case as they work together to solve how the rapper was killed. Once again, unfortunately... it isn't long before Lucifer discovers the reason for the kid's death, when Charlotte is forced to admit to her son she had accidentally killed him after he tried to kill her and caused her condition to worsen, once Lucifer arrives at Linda's office and is surprised to find his mother there with Linda. And Lucifer is certainly angry with his mother for putting him in this position and for forcing him to change his plans. As for the earlier scene between Lucifer and Amenadiel, when Lucifer is arguing with his brother to try to convince him to give up the third piece of the flaming sword... overall, it's a very funny moment between the two brothers. It's scenes like these between them that make me really love their relationship and these two actors' dynamic. However, Amenadiel winds up leaving with his necklace and disappears with it, forcing Lucifer to have to seek him out with Maze's help when their mother's situation grows far more dire. Next... I love the brief scene between Lucifer, Maze, and Trixie, when Lucifer is trying to explain to Maze what's going on in front of Trixie, while Trixie is playing doctor and taking care of their fast healing cuts from Lucifer's and Maze's fight within the previous episode. Trixie is so cute, and I love how she thinks that Lucifer and Maze are simply speaking in code, given that she really has no idea what's really happening. Also... I love how she and Maze team up against Lucifer when Trixie calls him a wussy and refuses to give him a lollipop for being so. So adorable. Any scene with Trixie is adorable. Between Trixie and Lucifer, as well as between Trixie and Maze too. I love her relationship with both of them a lot, as well as with Chloe and Dan too, of course. :) Meanwhile... Chloe and Ella are getting that much closer to figuring out who killed the kid, while Dan is off at his regular improv class with Amenadiel. I really enjoy the scene between Lucifer and Ella, when Lucifer attempts to sabotage a piece of evidence Ella appears to be working on, only for her to quickly replace it with a back up mold and then to go on to explain that the evidence he broke is from another case. Ella is very sly and clever because she always has a back up plan, and she's always so perky, which I love about her. I love it when Chloe walks in to ask Ella if she has any leads, as Lucifer eagerly tells her that Ella hasn't found anything yet, only for him to accidentally give Ella an idea on how to find their killer when she realizes they can use satellite imaging to see if its caught their killer going to or from the warehouse where their body was found. I love how Lucifer is desperately trying to keep Chloe away from the case by going out of his way to convince her they're wasting their time and that she ought to be focusing on other cases that might be more interesting, only for them to come across the two cleaners that Charlotte called in to clean up the body from her office. I think it's hilarious when Lucifer calls them minions... a reference to one of my favorite animated movies outside of Disney movies... Despicable Me. And it's so true... these cleaners really do look like the minions in their clean up uniforms. So funny. This scene leads to my first favorite scene within this episode, as Chloe takes a few moments to try to talk with Lucifer about why he's so eager to rush their investigation, as she asks him if it has anything to do with him family problems he had been talking to her about earlier on... about how Lucifer is frustrated with his brother for being so distracted upon learning he's their father's favorite son after all this time. I love how Chloe catches onto him being so upset, believing that it is because their father has told him Amenadiel is the favorite son in front of him. But more so... now Chloe is trying to convince Lucifer that he needs to open up with her about what's really bothering him, because going backwards isn't good for anyone, and least of all for their friendship or their partnership. I can certainly understand Lucifer's conflict with opening up to her about the truth, given that he's done everything he can to try to convince her he is really the Devil, short of showing her his Devil face out of fear that she will run away from him out of fear of him herself. Without going so far, he has tried to get Chloe to understand him and its been so frustrating and painful for him, but Lucifer also comes to realize that she can't possibly understand without seeing once and for all that he really is the Devil. However, Chloe walks away from him so they can carry on with their investigation. Next... I like the scene between Chloe and Ella once again at their precinct, as we learn a tiny bit more about who Ella is upon her revealing she loves Paris and France, but then that she has a problem with Vegas when Chloe states that the pictures she's looking at on her computer are pictures of Vegas. Ella's attempts to make everyone her friends is adorable, and I absolutely love how sweet and kind she is, and how she is so quick to hug everyone she gets to know. But from moments like this, we also have come to learn that she also has a darker side, and a past she isn't so proud of, which is so interesting. After all... she reveals to Chloe, Maze, and Linda back in a previous episode... Lady Parts, that she had stolen cars in her past too. Love it! Another of my favorite scenes is between Lucifer and Amenadiel, after Maze drags Amenadiel back to the penthouse so they can discuss the direness of their mother's situation. I can understand Amenadiel's perspective and how he has come to realize that he is meant to guard the piece that God has entrusted to him, and that he wishes to protect their father from Lucifer's and their mother's plans to destroy him. And he's definitely right in this moment because allowing the Goddess to destroy God is most definitely wrong no matter what he may or may not have done to manipulate his children. However, Lucifer is also right now, given that their mother is on the verge of destroying Earth and all of those he cares about. They absolutely need to use the third piece of the sword in order to put their mother someplace where she can heal herself and be free to be herself without threatening anyone. I love the brief moment where Lucifer brings up Chloe and we see the fear he has for her in his eyes when he talks about Chloe being that much closer to discovering the truth, not only about Charlotte having bene the one to kill the kid, but also about him too. Unfortunately... Maze returns to tell the boys that their mother has escaped, and we see in the next scene that she's come to threaten Linda, after Linda had accidentally let slip in their conversation earlier that Lucifer has ulterior plans for her. And when Maze and Amenadiel arrive at her office later on to check in on her after they learn Charlotte might have hurt her, they find that Linda's been tortured and is now dying. So sad. But I will come back to this in a moment... I love seeing the concern for Linda Lucifer feels immediately upon Charlotte revealing she had persuaded her to reveal everything. Lucifer absolutely knows that she had hurt his friend and quickly attempts to leave so he can find her, until Charlotte immediately grabs hold of him with all of her strength to keep him there, then does the same with Amenadiel. She then suddenly throws them across the room, sadly destroying Lucifer's piano when they land on it, while Charlotte leaves upon becoming disappointed with her sons for caring more about the humans in their lives than her. However, before she does so... she demands that Amenadiel gives her the piece, only for him to refuse to do so and tells her that she will have to kill him to get it. I love the fear in Lucifer's eyes in this moment, showing us he's afraid in this moment that their mother just might actually kill his brother. And I actually believed for a moment that she was going to too. Thankfully, she just leaves instead, saying that she will just have a find another way. And this shows us once again that she does truly care about her sons. Although, her leaving now is not good. However, I really love how far along Lucifer and Amenadiel have come in their relationship, and you can see that Lucifer truly does love his brother, as Amenadiel loves Lucifer too. I think it's kind of funny how Lucifer and Amenadiel suggest that Charlotte retire to Hell where she can rule there freely, even though it's absolutely the worst idea Lucifer could have come up with. At least he suggested she become Hell's ruler and not just one of its inhabitants again. And I like the brothers' banter after their mother leaves, until Lucifer suddenly remembers Linda needs his help and starts to leave to find her again, which I absolutely love too because I love seeing just how much Linda means to him. However, Amenadiel stops him once again and offers to go find Linda for him, knowing that if there is one person who can convince their mother to stop, or who can stop her... it is Lucifer. And Amenadiel is right, since their mother had been cast out of Heaven and into Hell by God just like Lucifer had been. They have the most in common, so Lucifer is the only one capable of either getting through to her, or of killing her if it comes down to it. Plus... Lucifer is the stronger of them for the time being, since he still has most of his powers even without his wings, while Amenadiel has none aside from most of his celestial strength. In the mean time... Chloe and Dan come to suspect that Charlotte is involved with the kid's death, as well as the cleaner's death as well upon being told by the surviving cleaner where they had taken the body from. And when they finally track Charlotte down, they find her waiting for them beside the carousel at Santa Monica Pier. And unfortunately, the Goddess makes it known to Lucifer upon using Chloe's phone to call him, that she is now threatening to kill the one person her son cares about the most, as well as Dan and everyone else around them, if he doesn't deliver the flaming sword with all three pieces to her. I absolutely love Lucifer's concern for Chloe while he's speaking with his mother in this moment, and a short time later when he calls Amenadiel to ask him for his necklace so he can save her. I really love the brief moment between Lucifer and Dan at the Pier, when Lucifer finally arrives upon the revelation that Amenadiel had told him he had stashed his piece somewhere on Dan. Dan is still confused by Charlotte's meaning upon her calling him human and kissing him, then saying that she will miss him. But I love how even more confused Dan becomes, as well as afraid when Lucifer suddenly comes up to him with Azrael's blade in hand, thinking Lucifer is there to kill him for kissing Charlotte. Dan immediately backs away and starts to reach down to his gun, until Lucifer assures him he isn't there to stab him, before using the blade to locate the third piece hidden inside Dan's pants pocket. Once again, Dan is confused by what Lucifer is doing, and even more confused when Lucifer reaches into his pants pocket to take back Amenadiel's necklace he had no idea was on him. So funny. And finally... the big moment has arrived! I love when Lucifer appears with Azrael's blade in hand as well as the final two pieces, in order to save Chloe from his mother. I also love the concern and confusion we see in Chloe's eyes as well, upon her thinking her partner is there to protect his mother until Lucifer explains he's really there to protect her, not Charlotte. Unfortunately, they're interrupted when the brother of the kid Charlotte killed arrives to kill her for ruining his family, and Chloe immediately pulls her gun out to aim it at the bigger threat to them, which makes her realize that he is the real person to blame for both his brother's death and for the cleaner's death... even though we know he didn't kill his brother. Lucifer then shouts out to the brother to plead with him to stop, claiming that if he shoots Charlotte, then they are all dead. However, the kid shoots anyways, but just as the bullet fires... Lucifer becomes shocked upon seeing time slow down all around him, then soon comes to understand Amenadiel has managed to find his power again to slow down time, long enough for Maze to thankfully get Linda to the hospital to save her life, which I also really love. And I love how Lucifer immediately understands what Amenadiel has done for them and smiles just before turning back to their mother again. Lucifer then doesn't hesitate... as he suddenly rushes forward, grabs a tight hold of his mother, then jumps off of the Pier with her into the sand below so he can do what needs to be done without risking Chloe's, Dan's, and everyone else's lives any further. He then puts the three pieces together and ignites the flaming sword, then apologizes to his mother for doing what he needs to do to save them. I absolutely love, love, love this final moment between Lucifer and his mother, as we see him threaten to destroy her while she slowly backs away from him out of fear, believing he is going to kill her too. Lucifer's final words to his mother are heartbreaking and just so beautiful. And I love the sadness, fear, and anger we see in his eyes as he's talking with her. Rightly so... Lucifer is angry with his mother for using him and Chloe to get from him what she wants. once again bringing back his pain from having been so manipulated by her, and having grown tired of all of it, allowing for him to summon Azrael's Blade's power. However, Charlotte attempts to plead with him to continue seeking out their revenge against their father for being the worst manipulator, until she brings up them fighting to get back their home, only for Lucifer to grow even angrier with her as he shouts that he isn't leaving Los Angeles... his real home like he has been trying so hard to get his mother to understand for so long. Charlotte then pleads for him to give her the sword so that she can return to Heaven without him, so that she can finally have the chance to start over herself like he's been able to do upon making Los Angeles his home. However, Lucifer states that her plan to return to Heaven is nothing more than moving backwards. And then... Lucifer comes to truly understand Chloe's words to him earlier about him taking steps backwards in their partnership and friendship when he continues to refuse to open up to her and tell her the whole truth, which I absolutely love. Because I love the look of realization on his face about how going backwards isn't good for anyone, which is exactly what Charlotte would be doing if she were to fight her way back into Heaven to start another war between her and her husband, that would eventually destroy them and their family. I love how Lucifer tells her it's time for them both to move forward, as he raises the blade over her as if to strike her down, only for him to suddenly slice a hole into their world and into another that is a blank state. Where Charlotte can retire to so she too can move on with her life and build herself a new world, even if it is without her children, now that Lucifer is refusing to help her get back into Heaven. A world that she can form into her own creation without God, and sadly without her children, given that it is her only choice she's got if she wants to live. I love hearing Charlotte admit that the last thing she wants is to hurt her children any further, after Lucifer finally helps her to understand that returning to Heaven would only cause a great war and end with casualties. And I really do believe her too. I absolutely love how Lucifer assures her he knows she never really wanted to hurt him or he rest of her children, and I love that because he is known to be the Lightbringer, Lucifer then states, "Let there be light!" This whole scene between Lucifer and his mother for me is the most beautiful moment throughout this episode, and I absolutely love seeing them say their goodbyes to one another. So sad and yet so beautiful. At last... the Goddess of all Creation vanishes into the hole in the world, leaving behind the body of Charlotte Richards, whom appears to be dead just as she was back when she had been killed as was revealed in this season's second episode... Liar, Liar, Slutty Dress on Fire. But then... she suddenly awakens a short time later once time starts moving forward again and Dan rushes to her side in the belief that she died after falling off the Pier. But I love that Lucifer quickly pulls out Amenadiel's piece of the sword so he can return it to him and shut off the sword's power, then swiftly tosses Azrael's Blade along with the belt buckle into the void as well so that they can no longer be around to hurt anyone else ever again. I believe that Charlotte survives, or is brought back from the dead, because when the Goddess takes possession of her freshly dead body, she uses her Goddess power to heal her body from the wound in the back of her neck that had initially killed Charlotte. Lucifer's mother tells him that she has the ability to heal a body one time upon first taking possession of it, just as demons have the ability to do as well. And as of right now, none of the angels or celestial beings we've met have the power to heal anyone at any time. Then, once time speeds up again... Chloe is thankfully able to shoot the real killer before he can hurt anyone else, then she and Dan look over the side of the Pier and are surprised to see Lucifer already down in the sand, standing over Charlotte's body. And when Dan reaches her, Charlotte wakes up again, only to have no memory of him or anything else, given that she had been possessed by the Goddess since she had nearly been killed by her own killer back in Liar, Liar, Slutty Dress on Fire. And I feel really badly for Dan here too, because now Charlotte doesn't know him and he doesn't understand why. Next... I also really love seeing how desperate Maze is to save Linda, and how heartbroken she is to see her so hurt, since Linda is really her only true friend in the world. And I love how Amenadiel finds the strength within himself to be able to help her to save her because he cares very deeply for Linda as well. And thankfully, Maze is able to get Linda to the hospital just in time, when time returns to normal once again, after Amenadiel can no longer hold it. I also really love how Amenadiel simply laughs after he senses he had succeeded, which is really nice to see. I love seeing just how strong Amenadiel really is. This is one of my absolute favorite moments for Amenadiel throughout the entire show. I love it!! Another of my favorite moments within this episode, is when Chloe comes over to talk with Lucifer again now that their case is closed. At first about their case, until she then goes on to ask him why he isn't letting her in on what's been going on with him. Why he can't tell her how he knew Charlotte wasn't really to blame. Sadly, Chloe doesn't believe that he can trust her and hearing her say so hurts him, as we can see in his eyes. I love how Lucifer attempts to explain to her that he does trust her. And he does. More than he trusts anyone, including his own brother and Maze. However, she interrupts him again as she goes on to assures him that she can and will forgive him for his mistakes and his flaws... the very fears he has about himself that keep him from revealing to her the Devil side of him to Chloe once and for all. Which later results in Lucifer finally finding the courage and strength to be able to reveal himself to her. Unfortunately, Lucifer is then struck over his head as someone renders him unconscious, just when he is on his way to reveal everything to Chloe after he finishes leaving her a beautiful message on her phone. I love, love, love how gentle he is in his message he leaves for her, as he apologizes to her for being so elusive and for not being brave enough to tell her everything, until now. How he finally really does want to tell her everything. And then his final words to her are... "No more going backwards." So beautiful!!! But first... we have another beautiful scene between Lucifer and Linda, when he comes to the hospital to look in on her and to apologize to her for getting her involved in his family's mess. And we can see the heartbreak in Lucifer's eyes yet again, because he feels so guilty that a very dear friend of his has once again gotten hurt because of him, even though we know it isn't his fault. His mother is the one who hurt her and does so ruthlessly for information. I don't blame Lucifer at all, and thankfully... neither does Linda. She assures him that she has understood exactly what she was involved in, and I'm grateful that she assures Lucifer he isn't to blame for her nearly being killed. Their moment together is so sweet. And lastly... my final favorite moment comes in the very end of the episode, as we see Lucifer lying half naked in the desert, after having been left there by whoever kidnapped him from outside of the hospital, and I love the mystery left open for us. Especially when it's revealed his wings have somehow been returned to him upon seeing them spread open wide, protruding from his back. And man... he looks awful after having been left in the desert to be baked by the sun, but what a phenomenal shot upon seeing him standing there with his wings out. What a cliffhanger!! :) Thank you so much for your reaction for this incredible season finale, Magy!! I am so excited for you to continue on! There is lots of goodness to come. :) Stay healthy and be happy! :) Oh... as for my absolute favorite episodes throughout season two... I love Weaponizer, Monster, Stewardess Interruptus, Love Handles, A Good Day to Die, and The Good, the Bad, and the Crispy. And then... Liar, Liar, Slutty Dress on Fire, My Little Monkey, Trip to Stabby Town, Homewrecker, Quid Pro Ho, and God Johnson all come in very, very close as well. Season two is just so, so incredible, and it's my favorite season of them all so far, followed very closely by season four!!! I would love to know which episodes are your favorites from seasons one and two as well, Magy. And anyone else who may wish to answer. Thank you again, dear friend!! Until season three... I can't wait!!! :) Sincerely, Heidi

I'm glad you're enjoying this series, it's actually one of my favourites, I literally reacted the say way when I first watched Lucfier. Trust me Lucifer gets even more wild!
