Homewrecker- I love this episode!! Season two has so many really, really good episodes, and Homewrecker is certainly among them. So, thank you very much once again for another fantastic reaction, Magy!!! First... I just have to say, wow!! Lucifer's mother is so twisted and delightfully evil, which is why I love her as one of this show's major antagonists, or dare I say... villain. It's all well and good that she wants her family back together, but for her to go to such lengths such as hurting her own son by trying to destroy his home and then even going so far as killing the woman Lucifer loves... it's definitely evil and heartbreaking. What kind of mother could do all this to her own child, even if she is the Goddess of All Creation? But then again... all of the Greek Gods and the Roman Gods brutally murdered one another and their own children too, as is told in mythology. Nevertheless... if you look at this from humanity's point of view, her hurting Lucifer in order to manipulate him into returning with her and Amenadiel to Heaven... a place that he hates and feels unwanted, it's really tragic. She is absolutely a character I love to hate, and love to love as well. The Goddess of all Creation is a very cleverly written devious character. Next... I really enjoy the overall storyline with Charlotte seeking out how to try to destroy all that is keeping Lucifer on Earth, while Amenadiel and Maze both grow concerned about her intentions, especially in regards to how she might be planning to hurt Lucifer. I even like how Charlotte brings Dan in to seduce him so that she can learn more about Chloe and Lucifer through him, and unfortunately she learns that Dan is concerned about Chloe having feelings for Lucifer after admitting he recognizes that Lucifer really likes her a lot, even though Dan never actually speaks Lucifer's name. He just says that there is this guy who likes Chloe a lot, but of course Charlotte knows very well that he's talking to her about Lucifer. And then... Charlotte seducing Dan is strange and wrong, but it is definitely in Charlotte's character to use anyone she can to get what she wants. So again... Charlotte seeking Dan out for information and trying to gain it by seducing him makes complete sense. I just feel bad for Dan. Also... Maze is hilarious in the bar scene between her and Amenadiel while they're both spying on Charlotte, and they soon see Dan meeting up with her. Maze and Amenadiel are both pretty funny in this scene, especially when Maze makes him feel so uncomfortable about his mother sleeping with Dan. Very funny. :) In regards to who the homewreckers are within this episode... It's both the professional homewrecker as Lucifer calls him out on, as well as Charlotte. Although... it's not just because she is trying to use Chloe and Dan and possibly destroy the relationship/friendship they have, but because she's also trying to destroy Lucifer's home on Earth in order to convince him to join her quest to return home to Heaven. Charlotte is willing to destroy everything Lucifer loves in order to destroy Lucifer's home and happiness on Earth, all in the belief that he will eventually help her and Amenadiel to get home. Charlotte is definitely a homewrecker in numerous ways, and I hate her for hurting her son so deeply. My favorite moments... I absolutely love the scene where Chloe comes back to LUX in the end to share with Lucifer that she has been able to make sure his nightclub will become a historical building so Eleanor Bloom won't ever be able to destroy LUX to turn the land its on into a mall, all because Chloe knows just how much LUX means to Lucifer. I love that she takes inspiration from his stories he shares with her about LUX's past and the people who have visited it in order to help him. And more so... I absolutely love the look of confusion we see on Lucifer's face upon her doing something so generous for him, as well as the gentleness and happiness on his face when he thanks her for saving his home. I also love that Lucifer asks Chloe to join him for dinner so he can show her his gratitude. And you can see how happy Chloe is upon simply being there with him and upon hearing him asking her out. Sadly, Lucifer comes to a realization when talking with Linda a short time later within the next scene that keeps him from going on their date, which I will come back to momentarily... Another of my favorite scenes happens earlier in this episode, when Chloe comes to LUX upon hearing that Lucifer is throwing an illegal party to try to prevent the workers from tearing his club down. I love seeing Lucifer look at her sadly upon feeling hurt that she doesn't understand how much LUX really does mean to him, until she surprises him by telling him to turn the music back up once the rest of the police leave. And I love seeing Lucifer and Chloe then dance together. They're so cute! Unfortunately, it's in this moment that Charlotte finally understands just what, or who is really keeping Lucifer on Earth... Chloe. Because she finally sees how Lucifer looks at her and laughs with her while they're dancing together. I always absolutely love the scenes between Lucifer and Chloe. Their chemistry and dynamic is just sensational. :) And my final favorite scene comes in the end, when Lucifer is once again talking with Linda about his confusion over Chloe doing something so wonderful for him, without a favor and without asking for anything from him in return, given that he just can't understand why she would do something so wonderful for him. Showing us once again his inability to understand this new human emotion he's now come to feel himself. I love how Linda tries to help him understand that Chloe has helped him save his home for him, because she cares about him and because she does understand just how much LUX does truly mean something to him, even though he was actually prepared to let the building go if it came down to it upon his realization that it is really the people... or women, who made LUX and Los Angeles his home. And then... Linda questions Lucifer if it's really just the people that have done so, or if it is just because of one person in particular that he stays in Los Angeles for... meaning Chloe once again. Which brings me to my thoughts on why Lucifer stands Chloe up at the restaurant, as we see her sitting there alone for some time and trying to get in touch with Lucifer through a number of texts to him, while we then see Lucifer sitting in the dark inside LUX all alone as he is ignoring her messages... Lucifer is clearly troubled by what Linda has told him about Chloe. And more so once he comes to understand he has been staying in Los Angeles to be close to her, and because Linda makes him come to understand that while he tells Chloe he is the Devil all the time... he's truly afraid of actually proving so to her by showing her his face like he did for Linda because he's terrified of Chloe being afraid of him and of losing her for good. Because Lucifer cares about what Chloe thinks of him most of all. Now... it is wrong of Lucifer to stand Chloe up. And you can see how disappointed Chloe is while sitting for a long period of time waiting for him. However, he has good reasons to stand her up, or rather it is very understandable to me why he does so, even though Chloe won't understand them. Lucifer has just come to understand he is afraid of losing Chloe should she come to believe him about being the Devil and her being afraid of him. And this realization is such a big deal for him. He's truly afraid, and because Lucifer struggles so much with understanding human emotions, he really doesn't know how to deal with this revelation. With this fear. So I do understand his apprehension to go on a date with her and to get that much closer to her too, knowing that one day, if he were to grow that much closer to Chloe, then he will eventually have to reveal himself to her in order to show her everything that he is and to let her in completely. Just as he wants from her as well. He's afraid Chloe will reject and run away from him out of fear and her doing so would break him and truly come to see himself that much more as a monster like he already struggles with. Revealing himself to Linda nearly broke one of Lucifer's closest friends and he hated that he had hurt her. Lucifer is terrified of doing the same to Chloe. Their friendship/partnership and more is just so beautiful, and I absolutely love it!! :) Overall... I really love this episode a lot! Thank you very much for more, Magy! Sincerely, Heidi

This copy pasta is cringe af. And you're clearly not as good a writer as you think you are.

I am not trying to be a good writer here. I never once tried to claim I was a good writer. I am simply trying to share my thoughts about a show that I love. And these are my thoughts about this episode. Thoughts I have shared with a number of creators here on Patreon. Creators and friends I support, who are currently watching and loving Lucifer too, and who do enjoy reading my thoughts. Rene... your harsh words are rude and uncalled for. You should be ashamed of yourself for criticizing me for absolutely no reason. I haven't insulted you, or did anything to warrant such cruelty from you at all. Shame on you. If you hate my comments so much, don't read them.
